Seriously tho, I like the name of some Tags. Carrera (being a Porsche lover), Monaco (great memories there). I just wish I liked the actual watches. Have to say the new glass box is a beauty but at £5.6k, no chance.

Aquascaphe. A mashup of "aqua" and "batyscaphe". Beautiful name for a diver (Baltic)

Venture. Mostly from the sound - it's like adventure, but more dangerous. Short and to the point. (Boldr)

Autavia. A sentimental one - a hundred years ago, Avia used to make aeroplanes. Fifty years ago, they made crappy lorries. This watch says "I was made for flying, both in the air or on roads". (Heuer)

Milgauss, Alpinist, and hated by many Deepseahunter (used by Addiesdive, Chinese homage brand) somehow I just love it, maybe because English is not my first language and it sounds cool rather than silly to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

Glycine Combat Sub is a cool name…VC Overseas also has a nice ring to it…same for PP Nautilus; immediately takes me back to reading Verne’s ‘20,000 leagues under the sea’ as a boy…Seamaster, Speedmaster ofc are well chosen names…Cartier Tank…or the MB&F Starfleet Machine :-) (ok, not a watch…)

“Fifty Fathoms” is pretty cool… I am not a native English speaker, and also, I have a very mild dislexia, so I first thought it was “phantoms” spelled differently, even then I thought it was cool… when I found out what Fathoms meant… 🤯🤯🤯🤯 even cooler

It was a 40th anniversary edition. The original was released in 1976. I'm hoping there's a 50th edition in a couple of years time. If there is I will be waiting 🙏Otherwise I'll pick up one of these bad boys on the used market. It's my favourite TAG by some margin and I'm a bit of a TAG fan boy 😂
