In my 30 plus years working life, I had perhaps three instances of someone saying, 'Nice watch.' Two of those are friends who are into watch collecting themselves. But as another Cruncher has mentioned, noticing and commenting are two separate things. Once I had a Facebook friend comment on the watch she saw me wear in a photo. Very sharp eye.
For me, the lug-to-lug dimension is somewhat important too. 40mm diameter is normally max for me but I do I have a 42mm which wears okay because the lug-to-lug is 48mm. Still, the dial and bezel proportions are a factor too. By the way, that Seiko looks good 😊
