Green Watches

I'm not referring to Eco-Friendly watches. However, the use of the color green. I've never sought out a green faced watch and am curious of the attraction to the color.

I'm an older guy of 58 years old and at my age I cannot see myself wearing a bright orange, red or yellow colored watch.  Possibly blue or green tone will suffice for myself.

Is green a unique color scheme in a watch?  Stock, or modified?

These days, you will find plenty of watches in all colors. There are threads here on green, pink, red, purple etc. I say try some on, look at the threads, but more importantly, have fun. Part of the fun of aging is we can progressively give less Fs, so I say let the color watch/freak flag fly.

Well stated & thank you for your advice.

All I know is when Seiko does it it's accompanied by "The color was inspired by the color of the first leaf of spring, captured at 12:34pm on March 14th on 2023."

·

I have that one.  It’s currently modded offshore style on rubber with a Deployant fold over clasp. I’ve never been able to find a great fit on stock resin g shock straps but I still own two casioaks that are modded

Green is good!!!

Oh!, But to have a watchmaker use the color Forest Green, or Evergreen I would be all over it.

·

I would definitely wear a green watch, here are a few I think are nice from the pictures, I admit I don't own any of them. However my Lady has an olive green G-Shock that I steal to wear to work sometimes lol.

I'm intentionally adding color to my watch collection, and Christopher Ward has a nice subtle "Hunter Green" with some interesting texture.

I have a nice dark green business-casual sweater this pairs nicely with, so I know it'll get a turn in the weekly rotation.

But yeah, I can't see myself going with a bright green dial anytime soon.

·

I'm inline with previous comments suggesting darker or subtler green tones. They're timeless and classy.

That said, bold green tones are certainly attention-grabbing and somewhat less common, so I suppose you have to know how you'll wear it.

·

I like the Casi-oak styles. Green is a nice color and seems to be popular to most watch brands. So you will see ton of options. Green Pilot watches are my favorite styles for the color. If you got the cash, IWC has insane green dials!

If subtle green can be good

·

I’ve tried on a few green dialed watches, and not had much luck. The only 2 I’ve liked are this Malm Air Wolf Viggen

And this Borealis Sintra

I personally find blue dials much easier.

·

I like how some watches fit in a military green like this G-Shock for example, or how a diver dial simulates the color of the sea, sometimes blue sometimes green.

·

I have these two and love the colour.

And here are my green ones, which I would also love to add Longines Spirit green dial one too.

And my desired one:

Introducing - Longines Spirit Green Dial Time-and-Date Watches

It completely depends one how much similar colors you're wearing generally, i don't believe that it is related with the age so much.

Have the exact Casioak and its nice. Its not hit you in the face green, more subdued. Afterall it was part of their Utility editions.

Green dials can be versatile depending on how the dial is finished. Flat dials usually tend to appear green under most of the lighting. Seiko presage green dials tend to play more with light, mostly appears black under low light and the green pops only under bright lighting. Same goes for my green PRX. Green along with black and blue dial, works for many situations.

If you always want a splash of color, ghocks are nice way to experiment 😅

This green is so different to most green dials out there. Love the subtle olive shade.

Green watches have become more and more popular in just the last few years, and I'm all for it! I have only two so far... I'm quite picky with my greens. But I really enjoy them both. The OP especially as the green changes so much in different lighting.

Great shot!

You reinforced my purchase of my Green G Shock. Though, I'm expecting a black metal stainless steel bracelet and bezel any time now.

Exactly!  I chose green for my Casio G Shock thinking it will catch people's eye. I'm looking at a few watch mods for my G Shock and now of them are green.

·

I like that particular green on that picture you provided for sure!
