Happy holidays to everyone
I am looking for suggestions for a red dial watch and hopefully some of you can help me find my next watch.
Here are my PREFERENCES (but I AM willing to consider watches that are outside these)
-Automatic or hand wind, between 38 & 41mm, under $2k USD, not a dive watch (I have several divers, love them, but looking for something different), prefer something sporty to something dressy.
Again, I am willing to go outside of any of these preferences, this is just what I believe I want.
I have been looking, but I still haven't found what I'm looking for (U2)
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Thanks- I had not found this one yet - this is in the neighborhood I think I want to be in. Its going on the list.
It will take some waiting but the An0rdain One:
Or more immediately, the Oris Big Crown Pilot
Milwaukee x Rockwell - it is a terrible watch on most accounts but you will be the envy on any construction site
Thanks - yeah... I still haven't decided if I am looking for bright red or a darker version

Thanks... Yep, I've been looking at the Oris models. I saw someone's video on the An0rdain and I like the texture a lot+ the idea a a Scottish designed watch is interesting to me.
You may want to check out @jakaplan4 thread from the other day...loads of red dials...

Thanks - lots of good options in that thread
The finishing is out of this world. If you're not a movement snob - and I am not - you are getting GS levels of finishing for 1/4th the price of a GS. I love my King Seiko as much as any of my GS'es!

This looks good - thanks (I have a few microbrands as well so most of my movements are Seiko - I like them)
I love that Seiko Cocktail Time Negroni.
I was looking at both of those watches, but didn't like the hardlex crystal on Seiko, or lack of second hand on Hamilton. Then Seiko released this, and my heart was set!

Agreed. I think that is why Seiko is resurrecting the King as a special marquee replacing GS as they spun to their own thing.
If you’re into custom builds, the red Japanese Sakura dial from Namoki has an amazing texture and red option. Here’s one I built for myself. Seiko NH35 movement.
Not exactly as per the sizing you want but it's a nice dress proportion:
Lorier Zephyr
My money is on the Hamilton & Oris Big Pilot

I do like the Zephyr - thanks for the suggestion
You may want to check out the Seiko SPB227, the presage sharp edge series red dial. Someone already suggested it in the comments.
The red dial on this watch is especially different to the other colors in the lineup. Its a fumè red dial on that beautiful hemp leaf pattern. Not overly bright and that pattern is just stunning when the light hits. Good bracelet apart from lack of micro adjustments and the 39mm case proportions are just perfect.

I really like that - thanks
You picked two good ones right there. Of those two I'd go with the Cocktail time Seiko.
If you want a red dial style GADA and aren't afraid of microbrands...this is what I wore today.
Relio Solstice.

I love this watch I Think we should be talking about it more.

It's a limited production run from Lorier usual offerings. However totally agree that this needs to be talked about more!
This is such a well made, proportionate watch for the modern times but still honours the watches of the yesteryears.
That Hamilton is sharp! For my money I'd go with that, or maybe the oris big crown pointer date mentioned in other comments.
If you feel like scratching the itch for a budget price, the orient kamasu is a great red dial for under $200.
I own the CW and love mine. It’s a bit more orange (burnt Siena?) than the others you’re looking at. It’s beautiful, and wears easily with a dress shirt and a T-shirt.
Ok... I found my red watch... While my original post stated I was looking for something other than a diver, that's what I ended up getting. I am very happy with it.
It's a Nodus Sector Dive Redtide
