Anyone Else Afflicted with Salmon-ella?

Maybe it's just me...but anytime I see a beautiful salmon colored dial it hits that part of my brain that says "you need that watch".

Now, of course, that just isn't really going to happen - with dreams of salmon dial Pateks and Vacherons flying past my eyelids.

Back on earth, I must content myself with more affordable and available salmon dial watches.

And it seems nowadays that there are a number of microbrands that are ready to accommodate just that urge for salmon (without the bagel.)

I must admit I run the full range of coppery salmon to pinkish salmon - all are welcome in the collection.

Are you afflicted with Salmon-ella? If so, show us your dials!

Here's what I've captured so far...or more correctly, has captured me...

I could consider a goldish salMon dial 🤔

·

I had an opportunity to get this beaut and chose not to. I regret that decision.

I don’t have one, but I could definetly consider a salmon dial. The Baltic and the Lorier but also the SARB. The SARB is a bit expensive on the pre-loved market so probably not.

I would adore one of these if I ever had the money laying around 😍

Couldn't agree more with @WatchYourIntruder, both Baltic and Seiko SARB037 are my dream..

I really like the Baltic MR01 with the salmon dial. maybe there’s a chance to pick one of these up later that year.

Fantastic looking watch! I've passed up on this model in the past because I believe it is a 36mm. I have a few 36mm and under watches and find it difficult to wear them because of my larger wrist size.

Hope you are able to get one as they really are gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing!

That is a magnificent choice - I saw images of that reference when it was released. It's a truly beautiful watch.

Yep, yes and hell yeah!  I felt like you were talking directly to my brain.  What the heck is it about that color and all it's variations that presses that button.  I remember when I first saw the Salmon Colored Baltic, I was in lust!  Totally get the attraction and loved all those watches you posted.  The only thing that drives me even crazier is a Salmon Colored Sand Textured Dial.

Yes - I was so happy with both the Axios Pathfinder and the Baltic - they nailed the salmon sand texture beautifully.

Did you see the Axios Tribune that is going to be launched in May sometime? It will have a gorgeous salmon sand textured sector dial option.

Waiting for the Kickstarter link to come from Axios

That blue and salmon is really amazing! I haven't added anything yet from Glashutte Original - do you have any experience with them? I figure they must be good watches since they are another brand within the Swatch group and they are based in Glashutte.

I’ve got an AD near me, so I’ve handled a lot of them, but I’ve never owned one. I think they are one of the best values if you want to add something with real complications and movement decoration and a sense of true horology to a collection without breaking the bank.

The only salmon dial I've seen that I Really thought was nice is the Furlan Marri.... Of course you can't get one...

Yep - saw this one when it first came out. Wasn't really for me so I let it pass. I have too many VK63/VK64 mecaquartz movement watches already.

Was really surprised it took off like it did - my guess is that all of the attention from the YouTube channels combined with influencers and magazine ads helped it along nicely.

Nice looking watch in the Patek style. I'd probably have gone for it had they used a Sellita movement or even a ST19 mechanical.

They really should upgrade the watch with a quality mechanical movement - the design is great.

Alright - I have to admit I just caved in. With a 10% discount and the fact that I could customize the look of the watch - it was too much to not make the purchase from Undone.

While the pictured watch is very cool - I decided to give it the full 1940s retro look based on my 1947 Minvera. So I went with the rose-gold case and the blued hands on the blue alligator strap.

Here's what I'm expecting to receive when it arrives:

Nice! Post a wristshot when you get the watch, please!

Thanks! Right on! Bought it last night after watching Caseback Tim's YT video review.

I also picked up this beauty while in NYC:

I'll post a shot of the Undone sometime this week...just arrived and it looks fantastic!

About that SARB037 thing...

Now you just need a SARB033/35.... much easier to get.... 😉

Interesting. I do have the 033. Hmm, maybe time for my first mod🧐

I think they are cool, but I've never really had the inclination to buy, nor try one on. I grew up with the black, navy, grey, white as my colors of choice. I also like hunter green and Royal blue. I don't know though, I'd need to see one in person, but from  your pics, they look cool.

I'm very curious with how this watch wears IRL, though there aren't many reviews out there apart from the one done by WatchChris

I don't have the DM02 yet...still waiting for it...was a pre-order.

The DM01 wears very comfortably and is very well made. Here are a couple of wrist shots of the DM01 in the original blue and the subsequent turquoise:
