Try On went to Wishlist

So… I tried on a crown. The one that actually speaks to me the most: 36 mm Datejust, Fluted Bezel, Jubilee Bracelet, Fluted-style blue dial.

I was (and am) in love and this is on the wishlist now. Way in the future of course but, I hope, this will curb my senseless urge to get new pieces and save up for that beauty. Also, to trim down the collection.

I’ll update you in 4 years with my newest WRUW posts 😅

Beautiful datejust! The dial really stands out for sure.

Beautiful. You’ll get the call soon enough. The flippers only want 41mm

·

Great pick 👌

I hope you do too 👍

Stunning looking watch,my wife waited 4 months for her 41mm Wimbledon with jubilee and fluted bezel,so you shouldn't have to wait too long

·

Crazy beautiful dial! Hope you get it soon!

·

Understandable, it's beautiful!

·

Lovely. Hope you’re able to get it before 4 years from now. 😃

·

That's a great combination! A feast for the eyes. Fingers crossed for 2028!

·

Dial is 🔥

·

I understand this watch love compeltely.

·

The crown seems to have magical hypnotic powers. "We must have it". I've been drawn by it's powers many times. All jokes aside, it really is a beautiful watch.

·

Love it. Been snooping for a Rollie with Jubilee in 36. Very distinctive dial!

·

That’s my exit watch sans the textured dial.

Simply the best Rolex.

What would be your dial of choice?

What would be your dial of choice?

The plain blue dial.

The plain blue dial.

Ah okay, that looks good as well but I think it has the numbers on the dial, doesn't it?

Hmm. Crazy haven’t noticed, I do like the stick indices rather than numerals.

I just checked, no they have stick indices too.

·

Looks stunning on you! What is your wrist size?

·

Thats a 36 mm on 16,5 cm wrist (about). The shot isn't that good though. This other 36 mm model might be shot a bit better:

If I ever get a Rolex, short of a GMT-Master II (in my frigging dreams), this would probably be the one. The fluted bezel really grabs me. But how available is it these days? When I asked about it at the Rolex boutique a few months ago she pretty much rolled her eyes at me. Which pretty much puts me off ever getting a Rolex.

You're right. But I don't mean these numbers. I mean the 5, 10, 15 etc. over the stick indices. But none of the dials have it, presumably. Only the 41 mm models have these and I don't like them. Good for me, that I'd only need the 36 mm and they are "clean".

Dunno about the availability but my jeweller wasn't making any statements for or against getting one sooner or later. It COULD be that I get a call somewhere down the line (when I can't afford one yet) or not. It's in the stars but the market is cooling off bit by bit. So I guess the availability and the will to buy these watches will even out over the long run.

And I was being told that the 36 mm is "more available" than the 41 mm (but also not delivered to them in the quantities the 41s are). Since I'd only want THIS exact model, I'm pretty much a slave to luck ;)
