I technically have 2 perfect gadas but love the way you put your exclusions, for example price or features.
My criteria is simple....
Water resistant
Legible
Thin!
Smallish
Elegant and rugged
Lifestyle for me: work, home, pets, dishes, garden, parties.
Since gada is not a one watch collection, for me the perfect gada is one which you dont mind the occasional countertop, wear without stress of damage (so that depends on each persons budget like you rightly put), can put at home, or grab when going out casual or elegant. Is nicely finished that you want to look at it and be happy.
The GS fits all and being quartz is a just pick up and wear. BUT is very sentimental to me (wedding watch) and I love the pristine case. So not gonna risk it with life.
Enter my new perfect GADA, the ciitizen NB1050.
38mm, 10.5mm thick (best feature for me), 100wr, apart from the date window, that dial matches your perfectly, decent lume (not going diving), easy to wear and forget, amazingly finished and cheap enough that its less worry.
Citizen NB1050-59E. A bit more expensive at $400, but gives a nicely decorated movement, super thin and wearable, 100m wr, decent lume, very accurate, and exquisitely finished. My gada is house, work, house, walk the dogs, cook, go out or do the garden. It can follow me anywhere in all weather.
