Well, the 1861 Speedy has 5 bar water resistance.
But honestly, it hasn’t been an issue at all. On that note, I wonder sometimes what kind of lifestyle the average watch fan has that they wear a watch in the shower or absolutely must wear one swimming. And for me, when I wash my hands, I’m not putting my arms under the water. The only concession that I can think of right now that I make for this watch vs my G-Shock is I’m a little more careful not to run the faucet over my wrist and when the watch gets sweaty, I don’t run the whole thing under the faucet.
So short answer is, I dunno? 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve cooked with it, mowed the lawn, pulled weeds in the garden, I change straps every other day on average, wash my hands, etc and never notice any issues. It’s gotten wet a few times. Splattered salsa on the pushers once at a Mexican restaurant. And it soldiers on.
Dive watches used to be 100m WR. Everything else was water “resistant” or only 30-50m at most. Yet watches survived. Unless you work on a boat, I think you’ll be fine.
