Orient Kamasu (Red hot chili pepper 🌶 😋)
Again, Orient fan boy here and I'm sharing this bad boy.
If someone ever asks me what brand to first start out with, I'd tell them orient. Why? Because for entry level, you'll get a sapphire glass, screw down crown, and great QC.
What more can you ask for.

I had a good friend asking for watch advice today 🤯 I never thought he would leave the church of Garmin, but there we are. I showed and recommended a couple of different watches, but he kept coming back to the Kamasu.. I'm afraid it might be to big for him, but time will tell.

I 100% agree that Orient would be my rec for enthusiasts looking for that first piece. Such a great watch!
I love Orient but I don't like the 'cookie cutter' indents on the bezel. I had a Kamasu with the teal dial but flipped it in the end. That said, this dial, bezel and strap combo is awesome. I have a similar skin tone to you and never dares wear a red watch. Would you mind sharing another wrist-shot with a bit more arm in it?

The burgundy dial and Bezel (splash of red) looks really good ngl. The finishing is chef's kiss..

Can't stress this enough. I mean Seiko 5 is alright but for the money you'll either get a bambino or a kamasu (with change). Plus Seiko 5 not having sapphire Glass is a major turnoff.

That’s a fact Mendoza! Especially if they are coming into the watch game liking vintage dress pieces this is a perfect start to a mechanical affordable but still a sold watch where they can get the feel withought needing the knowledge on service calls history or worrying about not beating it up to much due to the age.
