Follow my watch journey, as I share my past collection, and reveal my lifelong collection.
I grew up admiring my dad’s Casio that he wore all the time. When I saw the watch, it meant he was home after a long day of work, spending time with us. My first serious watch was a G-Shock, which I didn’t know was a Casio at the time. I had saved up for it when I was in high school, and I still have it to this day. Since then, I’ve gotten into a variety of other brands and types of movements. This hobby continues to amaze me, and it always excites me to meet a fellow collector.

Doesn’t help that they misspelt English… and they launched it without completed information about their collections. Their Japanese language website is also very slow. For such a high end brand, they could have spent a few more dollars on their web design and function
Did you have any previous purchase history from them? I’ve been on the “list” for the same model. No call after 3 years haha
I’m Korean as well. I didn’t know about the 60th, but we’ve planned on getting our father a Grand Seiko when he retires in a year.
Your post was very heartfelt, and the icing on the cake is the fact you have a modest collection and have decided to get your dad the most expensive piece yet.
