Not quite three weeks into ownership of this watch and it’s already making the other watches in my box jealous. If you haven’t yet joined the Paneristi, what’s holding you back?
Beautiful watch! Very unique and I’ve only seen two in the wild.
What’s stopping me, the price mainly. So it doesn’t have a hacking seconds? That would be another reason, non hacking just seems cheap and unsophisticated to me. The only non hacking mechanical I’ve owned was an Invicta Diver and that’s as cheap as you can get. 😉
Ben, from one Paneristi to another, your watch looks amazing! Storied history, unique characteristics. And yes, you just don't see too many of them out there, which makes it much more special from an ownership perspective.
Purchased mine for my birthday last Friday and couldn't be happier.
Panerai builds watches that would fit in 100 years ago with the same old style. Small seconds, onion crown or the hold down crown thing are for people looking for new vintage antique look. They have their own club too.
Panerai tells time in a laid back Italian way, you don't need exact minute markers, you really don't... Love the sandwich dial, kinda miss my Radiomir, but my Luminor is a keeper
Great choice! I’m the proud owner of three Panerais. They have been in my collection for around 15 years and will never be moved on. Great pieces, even though I generally wear smaller watches these days.
I am not sure what doesn't appeal to me, about Paneri, I like 40mm plus watches. I think for me it's a visceral thing, and I don't feel a great draw to Paneri. I guess I need to try one on.

Love that blue… I was lucky enough to try that on when I got mine… truly beautiful sunburst blue dial. I think I told you on your NWA post, but again, Happy Birthday, fellow Paneristi!

Their unique style and superb wearability have me plotting my next one… a Luminor!

They aren’t for everyone and while I admired the design, I was unsure until I tried it on.

Panerai watches are not everyone’s style of watch. It’s one of the things I like about collecting watches. Panerai is an expression of individual taste. Don’t know who said it but In matters of taste there can be no dispute.

Stop posting this watch porn! My wife is getting jealous.
Also, Panerai seems a little pricey and oh that hacking seconds? Why?

Well my friend, to use your words… it’s magic glory stuff! Who cares about hacking seconds when a watch looks and wears this good?

I guess you don’t need hacking seconds if you don’t have a seconds hand.

Exactly… don’t fight the feeling… you know you want one 😂😂😂

I’m liking Paneri more and more as I seen them and learn about them… can’t get over the crown lock tho, on some models.
I have 16cm wrists.
It's such an awesome looking watch. A unique look that is all it's own foe sure!

Thanks again Ben!
Love love love the looks of Panerai but I think big watches look silly on me…I can’t carry them off. Wish I could.
