๐ Seeking Opinions on Bell and Ross Watches! ๐
Hey watch enthusiasts! Iโm curious to know your thoughts on Bell and Ross. Iโve been looking at the brand more recently and wanted to get some general opinions of the brand/
specific model/owning experience.
What's it like to own a Bell and Ross watch? How does it fare in day-to-day wear?
How does it perform in terms of accuracy and reliability?
What attracted you to Bell and Ross?
Any standout features or aspects of the brand that you love or find lacking?
Thank you!

I think they look pretty great. It's one of those that are instantly recognizable. I could wear it as a daily, but would love it in a collection. I own a Bell & Ross Gentleman silver dial, and have had no issues with keeping time. Excellent quality and well made.
I donโt own one and Iโm not planning to get one; I like the designs of some models, but hate their value for money. Build quality is alright, but they are asking a lot for those ETA powered squares! Maybe not as bad as Hublot but still far from a fair offer in my opinion.
I think there cool , I would buy a used one if I had the spare cash
looks cool but its a little too big for my wrist
Have always liked the brand and wanted to own one at some point. Havenโt pulled the trigger yet but hopefully sometime soon!
I think the interesting thing about these pieces is their use by real pilots as actual tools. The industrial look combination with aviation makes a brand that I feel is unique in the watch world. The square cases aren't my preferred style but I like the GMT that has Explorer II vibes!
Bell & Ross are great and Iโm hoping to add one to my collection. I tried on the BR03-92 a few weeks back and it was fantastic on the wrist. I has a nice low profile and the strap was unbelievably comfortable, it just moulded to my wrist. Iโve admired them for years but was blown away after trying it on. Iโm probably leaning towards the diver at the moment though.
I guess they are OK but when I looked at the photo you used for this post the first thing that passed through my mind was that the rightmost watch was a Panerai and that there was a Seiko in the middle.
Maybe that's the audience targeted by B&R?
Wow this was my first post here after joining a couple of days ago. Thank you for so many insightful answers! This is a true watch community and Iโm happy to have joined
Not a fan of their modern big square designs but they are very recognizable in the same way you can spot a Panerai from a mile away.
I think their heritage line is great though. A bit pricy but you can get it for a steep discount in the aftermarket
I never found one that sat on my bony 6.5inch wrist properly. Would love to try some of the smaller designs. Also I feel slightly overpriced for the quality.
The pilot in me (who cannot afford to fly airplanes) loves them for the instrument panel look. But my 6.5" (16.5cm) wrist is unlikely to support them well. I enjoy admiring them but have no desire for one.
I love the BR-05. Iโd want an option with a full minute track and simple 3 hands, and they may be a bit pricier than Iโd like but theyโre rad.
I've always wanted a Type Demineuer, back when they used Sinn for their cases. But whenever I'm ready to purchase, can't find one, and inevitably something comes up home wise that it is more proper to apply those funds towards.
Mainly watches for aviators, obviously. They are good quality. Generic movements. Nothing bad to tell about them, or the people who wear them (hello Rolex:/).
Unlike IWC pilot watches, B&R have a really particular design.
Actually it is like Panerai, you love it or you hate it.
Great designs, but very overpriced for what's on offer.
Ignoring that they are too large for me personally I like the looks. I think they are rather well made but I still don't like the price.

My thoughts exactly! The heritage line is really nice. The gmt especially. The time and date ones can usually be found for big discounts and they have an ETA 2892 in them, which is a great movement!
Owned mine for nearly a year, love it ,thin profile, accurate and the rubber strap is very supple also comes with a velcro NATO ,I have a 7in wrist ,can also take a knock or too ,got mine at a good discount from CW sellors
Too big
I love their logo. There's something about the minimalist text and encircled ampersand that stands out to me. They're instantly recognisable and have their own sort of love it or hate it style. I love their look, but not enough to think about buying one. That one that they made with the red aeroplanes that looked like a radar C-scope is super cool.
Nah.
Don't hold their value.
I think you buy a B&R for the same reason you buy a Paneraiโฆ the aesthetic. You donโt buy either for the movement specs or accuracy. B&R is knocked as โPanerai liteโ by watch snobs but you get both brands for an unmistakable look from across the room and specific wrist feel.
If you like the look, go for it my man. Theyโre badass and a lot of the ceramic designs are better in person than in images.
This BR V1 is a great size, great dial layout and of course, not made any more. Wish I had picked one up when they were. Now they cost a lot more than they should.
Having purchased (at 40% discount) a Bell & Ross 03-93GMT three weeks ago, Iโm still in the honeymoon phase, so bear that Iโm mind. But I am very impressed with the movement, the seconds hand sweep only bested by a GS Hi-Beat, and a superb dial layout with large numerals and discrete markers and decent lume. This Bell & Ross has been on my wrist every day since purchase and I have no regrets at all. That said, Iโm also a Panerai owner, so Iโm fine with large cases. The avionics aesthetic of my Bell & Ross definitely appeals to me but perhaps not to all. Main criticism would be the โheftโ of this piece compared to my titanium Tudor Pelagos FXD. Apples | Oranges comparison, I know, but a lighter weight watch is noticeable and desirable in my opinion. Bottom line: if you can score a deal on a Bell & Ross, you wonโt be disappointed and it will garner attention (if thatโs what youโre after).
I'm not a huge fan of the typical square B&R design but really like thir vintage inspired watches. The aviation instrument inspired BR03's are cool though, would like to add one of those to the collection one day.
Love how square their watches can be
If you like square watches that emulate aeronautical instruments, Bell & Ross is for you. They are of great manufacturing quality and their caliber is very good and reliable. I fell in love with the BR 03 92 Black Matte Ceramic Diver and it is a watch that I use a lot.
I NEED TO GO LOOK AT SOME #bellandross ๐ฏ
