Hey all, 2nd day in and loving the WC app. Just wanted to see what drives your collections are you an eclectic or chaotic or calculated collector? Quartz or purist vintage or modern? Driven by the dark side or do you need balance in the force ๐. Love to see what drives your horological journey in this fantastic money depleting obsession ๐ cheers Leigh

For sure I wish I had saved up the money I spent on little impulse buys and I might have paid for that grail of mine โบ๏ธ

I buy the watch I like and make sure it has a place in the collection and will be in my rotation. I don't like to leave a watch in the box untouched for many days.
Also, trying to spend responsibly and keep myself strong from impulse purchases๐
Those straps look great, especially on the SKX. Can I get the link for the straps please ๐
New watches that look vintage or are re-issues of vintage watches. That or unique, quirky, and weird (to a degree). I also like minimalism.

Same same mate I hate when a watch gets left on the side. I really have to downsize I have only sold a Samsung S3 lol ๐

Nice ๐ I have a new watch from that range hope to show tomorrow when I learn how to set it ๐
I collect Seikos, both modern and vintage. It's my favorite brand. I have a number of quartz and automatic watches in different styles as well a fancy high tech spring drive and an old Elnix electronic watch from the 70's. Over 20 watches altogether. I wear a different one almost every day.

Amazing canโt wait to see them. Mine is mostly Seiko too. I have my birth year 1972 Seiko TV โบ๏ธ
Right now I own only G shocks since I love myself a watch that will outlive me. Currently wearing a blackout rangeman with a leather strap. Original resin one broke after a few years of daily wear.
That being said, in a recent trip to Japan I fell in love with Seiko's Presage and Prospex lines of watches so I just ordered myself the Nigh Vision version of the Alpinist.
I think I'll make a post here about it as soon as it arrives.
Dude you have exquisite taste ๐I love my blackout Rangeman I first started building my G Shocks with a stealth ๐ฅท theme. I also have the limited Blackout Alpanist itโs really nice ๐ look forward to seeing your collection
As novice collector I'm drawn to divers mostly but not specifically. My economic status allows me to lean towards the more affordable sub $300 end. That's my fancy way of saying that I am broke so I buy cheap watches ๐คฃ
Lots of us in that boat ๐ค shipmate ๐I enjoy affordable watches too. My latest was ยฃ43 and I love it ๐ป

Very interesting collection Nate. You made a collection out of watches I might buy one of for a change of pace. Makes sense though. My choice goes me an extra smile about once a month and you get it almost every day.
Nice collection mate, what boxes are you using?

The Seiko with the grey strap looks really good ๐๐ป
Seiko and casio drove my collection for a long time. I like affordable durable pieces that can take abuse and it won't make you cry when you scratch them. I love luxury watches as much as I love luxury and exotic cars, but only for the appreciation of the craftsmanship. I work and play to hard to have luxury items on my wrist. I could save up to buy some grail piece but then it would sit in a box 90% of the time. Just a modest blue collar worker so my collection reflects that.

Itโs awesome on a few of my pieces ๐
My collection is filled with what speaks to me, thats about it
What straps are those?
What do you think of the new PRX Digital?
I think it looks pretty sharp actually, but agree with MWC that it's a bit overpriced. But what isn't overpriced these days lol?
