The New 2023 Seamasters Have Dropped

As a proud owner of a blue Seamaster Heritage 300, the new update made me feel a little jealous. But I would definitely miss having the display back, because I really like looking at the 8912.

So disappointing! But at least I don't have to sell a kidney to buy something now.

·

Deeply disappointing (pun intended)

·

I was worried I’d have to trade my SMP in. Glad I don’t now.

·

With the exception of the Ultra Deep’s dial, these are… kinda meh tbh

·

What a Floprop of a release. Oh Ploprof! Whatever same Flop! Omega is getting lazy or maybe they ran out of funds after that Spirate thingy.

·

So boring and disapointing. Can’t believe the 300M still has this ugly bracelet….

It's funny you mention Spirate, because it's notably absent in all of these big anniversary releases. A lot of people thought the Speedmaster Super Racing was a signal that all the new watches going forward would get the new hairspring and regulation system.

·

I was very excited with these releases, but now that they are out; these photos seem pretty underwhelming. Maybe seeing them in the metal will change my mind. :/

·

I noticed they look pretty different in these (admittedly grainy) videos from Revolution: https://www.instagram.com/p/Ct_uPFpvAXu/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

But I'm not sure any of them are different in a good way to my eye

Yep Omega is getting lazy! They just release it in one universal color and it’s not even the classic blue that will go with everything. It may be pretty to some but I bet you, you will have difficulty pairing that hideous blue color with your wardrobe unless you like wearing highlighter pinks and green tees and button downs. Sheesh for Omega lol.

meh

Am I the only person who's loving them? Esp the Seamaster 300?

But I'm getting slight Panerai vibes...

·

The ultra deep has an interesting dial but that's about it. So disappointed they still haven't updated the bad SMP bracelet... Come on Omega.

·

Wow. How can they even make an event of just a new color in the range.

I don't say I don't like it, I like the AT and WT a lot (as previously), but guys,

I like them too, but I think we (I) were expecting too much and thus disappointed in the release. To be fair, it’s probably asking too much for a mid year overhaul of their best selling watches.

Hm maybe so, here's the thing right? I think they are going the right way with non see-thru back that will shave off a few mm from the case thickness, that move alone is getting a huge thumb up from me, also it has a lovely cashback imo. Idk, I'm really liking this release myself.

I agree… I never really understood the see-through on the SMP. It added height and for what? So you could look at the GIANT rotor? Thinner is definitely better and they are for sure moving in the right direction. For me, I hope they continue to trend smaller… a 40mm case would be awesome!

Yeah exactly, besides, how often do you really look at the movement anyway? I have owned a few watches with a see-thru caseback, it was fun the first week...

Omega: It’s time for our anniversary models. Any ideas?

The entire internet (for years): We hate the non-tapering bracelet & giant clasp. Please make some revisions.

Omega: Sounds good, new dials it is.

·

The Ultra Deep is dead sexy. It’s completely unnecessary to have something that large with that depth rating but that fact oddly makes me want the watch even more.

And unlike that submersible, you know that it will reach 6000m and beyond without any trouble.

·

I like the concept of the dials reflecting the depth rating of each watch, with it being less and less light until we hit the ultra deep.

·

Dammit! My collection is complete, or so I thought. Ugh!😈😈😈😈😈😈😈😈

·

For my personal likes and dislikes, they’re all pretty milk toast to me. Happy with what I already have. Money saved!

You can buy a smaller/shorter clasp from Omega.

I really like the new website... the way one scrolls lower showing higher water resistance. Clever!

Not much comment on the watches themselves... still thinking about buying a planet ocean.
