That’s okay. Use it more. Like instead of using it twice a week, use it three times now or more. Enjoy it! Let the next wearer grind his/her teetch about what you did to it. Cheers 🥃
I like in-house movements and there is prestige on it. However, I have watches with Sellita and ETA and they work good too. I got my Rolex DateJust serviced and it cost me $800 for the overhaul only. My Omega Seamaster Aquaterra with an ETA got serviced and I got charged $250 for the overhaul (plus $ for parts but will not include it). Advantages of an ETA.
Just like everything else in life. Nowadays, it will cost you an arm and a leg to buy a house compared to the amount your parents go theirs. Cost of living rises, economies go bullish or bearish and the world goes on. There is no perfect time just do it at the time you are financially able to and enjoy the ride.
Wear your watches but care for them at least. But if you get happiness by seeing them all scratched up with crystals banged up and chipped, hey that is your cup of tea. You paid for that inanimate object so you go do whatever you want on it to cherish your time with it.
