A coworker and I were talking about fashion, shoes, jewelry etc. We showed each other boots that we wanted then he showed me a bracelet that he was planning on getting so of course I told him that he needed a watch. He goes on to tell me that he already has some watches so I said OK and went on with my day. Tonight he texted me a picture of his watches. I looked closely and thought to myself, how do you tell the time? Then I figured oh it must be digital or something. Of course I texted him back and asked him how to tell the time. He tells me...(you might want to be seated for this)
"Oh it doesn't tell time, that's all you see" 🤯 what?!?! Apparently there is or was a company called Becomb and they made these "jewelry" pieces that looked like watches. Then I thought to myself that I remembered hearing about people not even caring if the time was set correctly or if the battery was dead that they would still wear that watch. 🤷♂️ That's enough internet for me tonight.

Don't mean to be a hater, but I feel like these... aren't even visually appealing, aside from the time not being there. If this dude has six of them, I'm genuinely afraid to know how much money this company made selling these. The profit margin must be insane.
This almost feels like a competition between some marketing bros to see who could sell the most products that don't do the one thing the product is for.

I'd be embarrassed about wearing that, not least because at some point you will be approached by someone and asked for the time. You then have to go through the painful explanation with someone who is going to think you're an idiot.

At least I have no problem with the hands being too short, the indexes being too fat, or the date window being hideous (Thanks the cyclop is still here as a warning of what it could have been)
How could they come up with this idea, removing the interesting piece of the jewellery but still keep the wart? People really will buy anything. Maybe I should market rings with the settings empty of stones.

I did a little research on the now defunct "brand". These were available in a Shopify shop for $150. It was basically a merch platform for a vlogger.
