Summertime

What watch do you reach for in the summer? ☀

This is my Omega Seamaster 2531.80. It’s a good summer watch for me because it is both stylish and rugged. It is aesthetically pleasing yet doesn’t draw too much attention to itself. It’s also a watch I wouldn’t mind wearing for a whole week in any situation and so I wouldn’t have to worry about it being stolen. It can probably serve as my “one watch” for a vacation. The only downside is that it’s a little on the heavier side!

What’s your summer watch? What are your reasons? Let’s see some pictures!

That's kinda hard when most watches I own are good for summer.

Probably Number 1 pick. Laco Diver very niche watch I only seen one member here that owns it @AussieWatchGuy.

Number 2 Alpina Diver another niche watch and not your average looks.

Pick 3. Citizen Promaster Diver GMT and Titanium super lightweight and incredible dial.

Summer is the best time to wear this as it's not the thinnest

and a GShock for the pool or surf .

I have come to enjoy white dials in summer.

This Casio MRW200H is about one third the mass of a Duro and still manages a 100m WR while it can be inexpensive enough to be regarded as expendable:

A white dial tends to contrast a tan more effectively.

For non-aquatic events that might justify something a little more elegant but retaining a hint of summer sportiness, a Cardi Vostok Racingtime GP can do the job:

I also take my 2531.80 for summer watch, but it has one important drawback : the lack of micro adjustment in the bracelet. My bracelet has a slightly loose fit for winter, and thus slightly too tight fit in summer, which can be unconfortable at some point.

Thus I put it on a blue bark & jack nato strap as I don't like tropic for this kind of diver (but maybe I need to try it on sometimes as it's much more practical than a nato for sand/water). But I still prefer the look of the bracelet.

I have the exact same problem! Have you tried it on a rubber strap?

I had the original Omega rubber that was sold with it as alternative/addition to the bracelet. I sold that ugly thing (cf below).

Check on zealand website, there is a strap which fits this watch, but it looks too modern to me.

I hope to try soon a blue tropic, this is the only combination that could do it for me.
