The lounging-at-home watch

Many watches fit this bill.

This silver dialed Hamilton Khaki Field is a great watch for that reason.

It's thin and stays out of the way which is what makes it perfect for me in that capacity.

What's your choice?

Man, you're way to organized. My lounging around the house watch is whatever on my wrist at the time. Maybe I'm missing out and I need to start designating watches for different activities.

Not much better than the Hammy

It's not too difficult; a fairly organic process. For instance, I don't necessarily need to designate a dress watch as a dress watch in order to not take it swimming. Some watches I just prefer to wear more often when I'm hanging out at the house not doing anything in particular.

Mine are all of em since I work remotely!

I'll usually rock a Tudor or Citizen for work work, a Rolex or Seiko for office work, and then something slim like this once I get back home. Nothing set in stone of course.

Solid rotation! I will say I do wear my Rolex the least in the house. My dogs are nuts.

My watches are lick magnets. My dog will lock in on my wrist to lick the GD crystal right after I've cleaned it.

Spike likes to put his nose on the crystal. 😩 I can relate to your frustration.

I can't even judge because I completely get where you're coming from. If I didn't have human kids, we'd probably have more animal children by now.

Yes! Fur babies are the only babies for us. Today, I showed my wife a picture of a dog at the shelter we got the dogs from named Marshmallow. I said for Christmas your gift to me can be this dog or this watch from Nodus. She said get the watch. 😆

I'm the weirdo who doesn't wear a watch at home. 🤷🏼‍♂️😄 I'll show myself out...

What a strange concept. When I'm at home, I don't wear a watch at all!

So strange. Can't imagine wearing a watch inside!

·

I tend to wear my vintage watches around the house. I don't wear them too often so it's the only wrist time they get.

Whatever I'm wearing at the time, tho often change to a Willard if I'm drinking and smoking so I don't risk my posh watches.

Always wear a diver in bed for the lume.

Its the same enjoyment. Just as unnecessary but without the flex of other people seeing it.

Casio G-Shock GW-S5600u, on the soft GW-5000 rubber strap. Casio stripped down the weight on this one by turning parts that are normally steel (backplate, screws, buttons) into titanium. It weighs about 40g and is the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn.

Usually whatever I put on in the AM, stays on.

On days I do go into work, if I'm wearing a quartz, I'll sometimes switch to an auto when I get home, just to keep the wheels turning.

·

I like to wear a super slim Casio quartz on its og resin band as my "pajama" watch. So it's either an MQ71 or an F91w.

Wow, that dial is fantastic. I have a black KFA 38. That was my first really good watch. I love it, I just never wear it because the bracelet no longer fits my wrist correctly.

I like this concept as a major niche that needs filling in every watch box. It's the opposite of a hard use watch. What is the horological equivalent of a pair of 10 year old sweatpants and an over-sized Metallica tour t-shirt? 🤔

·

I’m 100 percent into the cats and the dogs.

·

At home I wear my casio F91W, coz then it doesn't feel that I'm wearing a watch. It just disappeares till I want to know the time, and I can let my dog lick it as much as he wants.

·

Great watch! Can't ask for much more out of any piece!

·

At the moment, a G-Shock because of our new land-shark puppy. The variety of available Hamilton field watches never ceases to amaze.
