Fashion Watches

Fashion watches are the mopeds of motorcycles. What say you Crunchers?

Donkeys 2024 🤣

·

You mean they're fun to ride but you don't want to be seen on one? (DM me if you know this joke)

·

I was just checking that AliExpress promo where u can get 3 items for 1.99 each with fast delivery, there are some good looking field watches, some dress watches, and even a diver (3 atm haha), how can they make a watch for 1.99 and still make profit?

I won’t criticize.. since I used to wear wide leg jeans and platforms shoes… we all fall for some type of fashion… oh did I ever tell you guys the story of me wearing a fake nose ring and and flung off my nose when I scratch… not pick … my nose… yeah.. my teenage years oh… yeah.. 🤦‍♂

I think they make up for it in volume. Can anyone confirm how loud they are?

·

I'm surprised Pres Biden hasn't sued them to oblivion. I'm actually ok with the design. I'd pay $40 for it.

Slave labor, unfortunately.

Can’t be any louder than my Timex Weekender

·

Yep…it was going in the other direction.

My most meaningful piece is a fashion watch.

It was the first watch given to me by my GF then now wife some 14 years ago.

·

All fashion watches are trash. You are confusing quality watches that happen to be fashionable with “fashion watches”.

Don’t get me wrong. I rode the fashion hog for a time, but it wasn’t until I felt the sweet mechanical turn on my wrist that I realized what I was missing.

My grandma gave me crystal candlesticks for my wedding. They mean a lot to me. I don’t collect candlesticks nor do I have a passion for them.

·

A watch that is made for the express purpose of being an accessory to your wardrobe.

I hate to tell you but wide leg jeans and platform shoes are making a massive comeback, fake nose rings in fact fake anything remains a matter for personal choice. As long as you like fooling yourself, I will not render moral judgement. Before the pandemic, I enjoyed public transit before it became dangerous and felt great fraternity with all

the industrious immigrant ladies who carried fake LV bags. Clearly they also prefer to not shop at the boutiques.

·

In the subdial, why is the 60 at the 55 position?

Slave labor, unfortunately.

That means every Swiss watch made (or mainly using parts from) in the same factories uses slave labour too?

·

I can only say that my friend and I put a lot of miles on his mom’s Puch when we were kids. I loved that damn thing! Two horse power of grandiose freedom. I suppose one can feel the same while donning a fashion watch…whatever the broad superlative denotes.

Good analogy, but some mopeds are highly thought of by collectors (FS1E for example), & most bikers started on a moped whereas most WIS didn't necessarily begin on the lowest rung of the watch ladder.

Bikes and watches, my two life long obsessions since childhood (I'm 52) love 'em 😁👍

If an Ali-Brand looks like it's copying MVMT, is it still better than Rolex?

·

I’ve had this Kennith Coke for well over 10yrs. I enjoy it and find nothing wrong with it.

I don’t find anything wrong with it either.

BiDen is such a bad quality brand, it is sad that it is one of the best sellers on amazon 😭

I know guys who wear Pateks who pick their noses relentlessly! We say they are digging for gold.

·

Not a fashion watch at all. That's a lovely peice. 😊

·

The 60 is in the wrong place?

·

At this point in time, EVERY watch is a fashion watch of varied value and style.

When there's a clock on every phone, in every car, on every computer screen, on microwaves and stoves, there's no need to wear one on your wrist other than fashion and the love of watches.

Hah! Archer reference. Love it.
