I like them but the misalignment potential is strong with these ๐ I feel safer with my steel bezel on the SRPE Seiko 5.

The lug to lug is only 46mm, it still wears like a usual 40mm watch on the wrist.

Look at the pricing on seiko.nl. The 42mm is eur 310, the new 38mm is eur 350 (..........)

They released the 36mm Field watches for the same price as the 39mm. I don't think they would price this higher than the 42mm versions unless the Seiko Netherlands website is ripping you off very early for pre-order ๐

Just picked up a new SRPE79 with that 'cement' looking gray dial and steel bezel.
Love my 42mm... the chapter ring IS a little off but I never would have noticed if nobody had ever brought it up... ๐

If itโs the friction based bezel from the SSK GMT then that would fix it, I do like my clicks though.

Nice thing about Seiko is that nearly everything is modifiable! Would be nice to have a factory option though

Always possible to pull the click-spring out. Then it'll be a friction bezel! You can also bend one of the springs down, and convert to 60-click instead of 120 (I did on one of my watches).
Not so sure itโs a bb54 killer because itโs got modern vibes compared to vintage and itโs a whole different price point/level of watch but I do like these. If I get another Seiko though Iโll probably go for the GMT.
