Tropic Straps

I am always on the hunt for good tropic straps. i just love to wear them in summer. today i received this light blue tropic from fratellowatches. it is really soft and comfortable to wear, especially on smaller wrists cause it is only 11.5/7.5cm long. this fratello has the classic straight end instead of my wolbrook desert which has the round end and is a tiny bit longer. my grey joseph bonnie comes from the same mold as the wolbrook but has a more classic buckle. anyway both of these 3 are great tropic straps imo and you cant do anything wrong by chosing one of them. so if you have similar good quality tropics that you tried let me know 😉 i will defnitly keep buying them to change things up during the summer time 😎🏖

I am a huge Tropic strap fan and also have smaller wrists so thanks for the recommendation.

The best one I have came with my Squale 1545, not too long and fits like a dream.

Short length Tropic style straps is very hard for us small wristed watch wears even harder when you need odd lug width of 19mm (ahem Aquastar, Longines ). I like the taper on the long end that's the style. Anyway I have found several manufactures of shorter length straps typically at 20mm lug widths.

  1. Rub Strap making a 115x75mm https://www.rubstrap.com/product-page/black-tropic-strap

  3. LeForban a French watch brand has a shorter length tropic in silicone @ 115x70mm https://leforbansecuritemer.com/en/bracelet-tropic-noir/

Other alternatives is to look at NOS (new old stock) for shorter lengths - what does keep popping up is another rubber tropic that tropic made called the "Tropic Star" a slightly more dressier tropic - typically the length being 115x75mm https://watch-deals.com/shop/watch-accessories/watch-straps/rubber-bands/vintage-bestfit-tropic-star-watch-strap-23219-19-mm-black-swiss-made/ Then there is the "Tropic Sport" (sometimes known as a rally sport) again at the 115x75mm length . Typically these straps have widths at 20/16mm or 19/16mm widths

Lastly another tropic that pops up on watch product sites and eBay is a tropic strap where on the long length the tapered end is rounded rather than squared off length it either comes in a 115x75mm or 115x70mm length - this particular strap is commonly known as the "No.1961" which I have found in Watch Deals and I have ordered one for my Aquastar Deppstar 2 . https://watch-deals.com/shop/watch-accessories/watch-straps/rubber-bands/vintage-natural-rubber-watch-strap-1691-19-mm-black-swiss-made/
