New watch box, new SOTC photo

Rehomed my watches to a new box having outgrown the six-slot I had. Figured it’s a good opportunity for a SOTC pic. Where do you think I’ll go from he...

I was dead set on picking up a Zenith El Primero Chronomaster Sport this year until I tried one on against a Speedmaster ‘57. I’m absolutely smitten.

I’m also keeping an eye out for something solid gold and vintage-y in the dress watch field. A Constellation or similar. And maybe a Railmaster if one pops up at an amazing price and I have funds.

Thanks @Chronophobia. I didn’t know that. That’s super interesting.

Oh, I love it on that NATO. That looks great.

I’ve been trawling for a bargain 1970s DeVille recently. This is a beautiful piece.

On me, 7.5"/19cm wrist, it wears just fine. Maybe even a little small.

Well, it was a gift I picked out and paid for myself, but my wife told me I had to put it away until Christmas 😂.

Honestly, I fell in love with this watch the moment I saw a picture of it on the Bremont website. I was looking for a GMT/Diver and the fact that it's a British brand made it attractive to me. The black case and black ceramic bezel along with the off-white numerals really sang to me.

Since Christmas, well it's been a bit of a slow burner. I haven't warmed to it on the wrist in the same way I have with my Tudor Ranger or some of my other less expensive pieces, but I'm wearing it today and enjoying it.

I think I'll enjoy this watch for a while but when it comes time to buy something else, this one might be sold to fund it.

Oh, I’ll definitely keep the band. It’s just not to my taste (at the moment). It is INCREDIBLY comfortable to wear on that band though.

My grandad’s watch

This was my grandfather’s watch. He died in the late nineties and apart from the woolly hat he’d wear to watch the rugby, this is all I have of his. S...
