Fresh NATO’s

I know I could have at least make sure I’d wound and set the speedy before taking a picture but I just wanted to try out my fresh NATOs from WatchStrapCentralUK.

Have always had an eye on herringbone style straps, that blue one looks killer!

Would be interested to know your thoughts on the ribbed nato, as the only one I own (from CNS) feels quite thin and plasticky compared to my other natos (even ones from CNS themselves), but I really like the look of the blue ribbed one these guys are selling.

I’ve had a couple of ribbed straps from them and honestly I like them a lot more than I thought I would. They’re stiffer and thicker but in a really good way for me. In my Bremont S302 I tried a seatbelt NATO and it made the watch feel unstable almost. The more rigid and bulky ribbed strap made all the difference.

The blue herringbone one is really lovely. Very soft and almost silky. It’s a single-pass too which I don’t normally like but it works well with the Speedy57 as that watch tends to feel a little more ‘delicate’ on my wrist.

Cool speedy, I think about this one often…

I like your taste for watches and straps. Great pieces you have there. I have a Ranger and love it with different straps. If I was to buy a Speedy, a black 57 would be the one to get. It’s a number 3 on my wish list. Enjoy your new straps!
