Who Gave the Better Gift?
Following Cage and Tyler, here’s another just for fun post; but this time about Celebrities gifting watches.
Keanu gave steel Rolex Submariners, Bruno Mars handed out gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks, Jay-Z delivered Everose gold Rolex Daytonas, and Ed Sheeran supplied steel custom-stamped Tudor Black Bays.
If you could only pick one, which would you like to have?
I think I’d join Bruno Mars’ crew because that gold AP Royal Oak is AH-MAZING.

Nope. Hell, I'll take a G-Shock from any of them.
I'd be most likely to actually wear Keanu's Submariner. He seems like a pretty cool guy to be friends with too.
I'd go with Keanu's Sub, mostly because of who is doing the gifting, and the fact a Sub is more my style than gold.
Also, I wouldn't want to offend John Wick... I saw his training videos, Keanu is a real life badass.
Can I cheat? I'd take whichever one is selling for the highest amount on Chrono24, sell it, and then buy other watches I really wanted. And some Cheetos.

Okay, so, I'm guessing that the AP Royal Oak will fetch the most. Looking on Chrono24 real quick, I'd guess I would get something like $250k for it. So, based on that, here's my list of alternative purchases:
All total, that's $48k. That leaves $202k remaining. Thus, assuming Cheetos are $1 per bag, I would get 202,000 bags of Cheetos.
They are all great choices, but I am going to take a bit of a pragmatic approach and begin by saying if they were gifts for me, the AP and Daytona would not be practical for me, as I would NEVER wear them for fear of damaging or losing them. So, if the goal of the gift is to provide a watch I would wear, it would be either the custom Tudor or the Submariner, and I would lean towards the Submariner, simply because it is a Rolex.
Of course, this decision is completely logical and has nothing at all to do with the fact that Keanu Reeves is one of my favorite celebrities and I want to pick him. 😉🤣

I think I'd go with the Tudor from Sheeran because I wouldn't have a heart attack being gifted some of those more extravaganza choices. I mean, can you imagine?

OK, great choices for me. I‘ll take the GS SBGZ005 for $103k
Next the Omega Seamaster AT Ultralight for $49k
And the Moonwatch professional for $35K
That only leaves me with $63k, so 63,000 bags of Cheetos will have to do!
