First post! Anordain Model 1 - Blue Fume

Hello everyone! I’ve enjoyed this platform for a while now, and have decided to start sharing.

This blue fume dial anordain was a watch I purchased early last year in 2023 and owned up until the end of the year when someone made me a offer to good to refuse.

I was immensely excited when I first purchased the watch, as I’ve seen countless photos online and have heard high praises from watch connoisseurs.

However I will share my personal thoughts with you on the watch. Firstly the dial is as good as advertised. Probably as good and unique of a dial that you’ll ever get at this price point. However I wish that Anordain had added AR to the crystal as this would have helped a lot with viewing the beautiful dial! The movement it can with was a mechanical sellita, and this was one of the roughest movements I’ve felt on a relatively expensive watch. Finally the case seemed a bit underwhelming and seemed like something you would find at a much lower price point.

However if you are lucky enough to find yourself having a chance at one of these for a reasonable price, I would highly recommend it. This watch stands out in any collection, regardless of the price point of the rest of the watches.

Congratulations, that is an awesome watch. As a fellow M1 owner, I do not disagree with any of your comments. We pay for the dial. I have made my preferences known for enamel dial brands before, but will always love what the folks at Anordain do. Super nice people as well.

·

Welcome! That’s a nice watch.

·

Thank you for your honesty review. Great first Post.

·

The rather basic case is what held me back. I understand you are all about the dial, but for a little more, at least touch up a case flank or edge with some lipstick.

·

Oh! I hate you. 😂I want mine. I’m on the list for 2025😢what a beaut.

·

Excellent choice. And welcome. Getting your hands on one of these is no mean feat. They are rare and have skyrocketed in price. Well done.

·

Beautiful blue dial. Congrats

·

Welcome! and keep going...

·

A great first post

·

Beautiful dial!

·

Congratulations - that dial is an absolute work of art.

·

Welcome to the crunch, love that enamel dial!

·

Beautiful watch and welcome to da crunch #welcome

Sounds like an honest critique to me. Did you consider Lundis Bleus at all? They offer a lot more customisation and artistry in the dial dial and no wait time for only a little higher price, but I wonder if they suffer from the same issues of pedestrian case, hands, and movement.

Welcome!

I'm waiting 2 more years for mine... Did get to try them on and the plum is what stood out for me! 🥰 You are right about the case; it's boring. I would prefer the model 3 case with the plum fume dial but I don't think they'll make that.

The plum color contrasting with the yellow markers looks lovely! But yes, a shame about the case..

Beautiful watch!

I purchased my green dial very early on and have regretted not purchasing more than one at that time when they were still reasonably priced and there wasn't a waiting list. Oh well...at least I have the one.

I have to say that the green is the most striking to me, out of them all

Thanks for the post and honest critique. Nice photos too! Agree with the case - finger prints everywhere?? I’ve owned a few watches with the Sellita and have never experienced the winding issue (it now come with a LJP G100 option).

Ny build slot came up and I had to defer for a quarter as fhey’re still to announce the fume in a 35mm dial variant (I’ve been assured that that they will). Whilst I’ve tried on the 38mm and it fits fine, the watch will eventually end up with my daughter. So its just a case of a little more waiting….!

That’s probably a good idea, as I felt like the watch wore big for its size. A 35mm might be the sweet spot!

Have you been given a build slot yet?

Its Plum or Grey for me…

Yes I have secured a build slot. I was originally wanting the Payne's Grey but after seeing all of them in person, I liked the plum the best. 🥰

It’s quite a thin bezel and mainly dial. Although it’d be nice to have as much of that dial as possible 😉

Definitely important for see them in person. Each dial variant has it own appeal. I dd briefly consider the Model 3 butwasn’t sure about the case/lugs

Appreciate it!

·

love it

·

Extremely fair review. AR coating and better case finishing is something they should improve, specially for the price point. Movement... idk if they could

·

I was interested in these until I got the most arrogant email I've ever received from a retailer pretty much congratulating me on being selected to join their new (at the time) wait list and if I paid 20% I'd get a watch a year later. No thanks.

·

That dial, wow

It’s unfortunate the way you have to go about buying these at retail. But I guess it’s just overwhelming demand.

Yeah, I guess they were trying to do the right thing. But they should have got someone else to write the email for them, and if the demand is so high, why take such a hefty deposit? If the person changes their mind then there's plenty of other takers.
