The Royal Oak…
Had the privilege of spending some time with a friends newly purchased Royal Oak today. This is the 41mm in a black dial.
I’m sure most have seen this watch countless times over the internet, but handling one in person is a whole other experience.
The way the light hits the impeccably brushed links and polished surfaces make the watch feel electric.
The Royal Oak is a icon and although most of us will never have the opportunity to own one due to its price and difficulty in purchasing, this is a watch truly deserving of its prestigious status.

Yes. I find that the hate for this watch comes from either jealousy or just the contrarian attitude to the hype it gets. But handling an #audemarspiguet RO or ROO in the metal makes you understand why it’s such a hyped and loved watch (often copied but never replicated)
