Watches you pretend to like but secretly hate

You know how it is, you meet someone in real life who wears one of these horrible things, you nod and smile, and tell them how great it is, but inside, you're really thinking, "Why did you buy that? Were you drunk at the time? And how can you wear it in public?" Which one do you bite your tongue about most?

None of the above. There are watches that are not for me, but I have no hate for them.

·

I would have no reason to hate someone else’s choice if they’re happy with it.

·

I don't like any of those watches and would not buy them even if they were offered for free, but my personal preferences are mine only and what other people do with their money is their own business.

·

This is my honest answer, hope it is not controversial none of the watches are models that I would wish to wear even if they were gifted to me but with the single odd choice of the Panerai Luminor Due I have actually met persons wearing A,B,D watches that were quite negative individuals with regards to their opinions about other watches and or trends. The Panerai was on the wrist of a lady sales pro who retails the brand. I like the OP bubble watch but received criticism for not hating a watch I believe is fun. I would not wear it just as I would wear a Tom Ford tuxedo but it is still nice.

Tough question...I don't think you can "hate" something inanimate and you probably shouldn't hate anything with life in it...except maybe mosquitoes...

So what watches do I pretend to admire...

Anything by Rolex...I mean c'mon the poor buggers who have bought them either waited a long time to get one from their AD or they paid some ridiculous price on the secondary market. So while I'm not a fan of the watches, I admire the persistence or willingness to overpay for a mediocore watch.

Same thing for Panerai, except you don't have to wait to purchase one. Just walk into the Panerai boutique and they will practically beg you to buy one.

Most Casio digital watches...just not a fan, but who am I to be snobby and not compliment someone on having a watch they really are excited about.

I find that appreciating another person's attire or fashion sense only pays positive dividends to creating a better world.

All my friends own Rolex DateJust, like it was a group buy or something, I just smile as they aren't watch people.

·

I confess to owning a Rolex DateJust, its 18 years old, took me 4+ years to save for and a barely ware it, as its too posh for me. As for the others I don't pretend I like them as I don't, but I cant hate an inanimate object, well maybe just a bit !

Basically all Tudor watches - because they all look nice from the top, but not a single one is without compromise. Either you have a HUGE polished wall on your wrist or the bracelet has no micro adjustments or the watch is too small or the bracelet is too wide to fit i.e. aftermarket NATO straps…

But that’s of course all subjective, so no reason to bash someone else’s choice of a watch 😀

I don't pretend to like what I don't but can't speak of hate for watches or their owners. But I see too many Rolex OP, BB of any kind and PRX to my taste (on internet speaking, because I mostly see Apple Watch in real life)

·

I’m generally okay with whatever someone wears. Me personally, I cringe at Omega, not because they have bad watches, but mainly because I don’t have good experiences at their boutiques.

·

Dislike 'em all . Maybe the Panerai is the least fugly.

·

TikTok has been on a roll with PRX influencing and I thought it was cheaper in price than it should be but I was shocked at the near $1000 price tag for what looked like 500-600 at most
