VTNR and BLRO side by side

This is a little late but wanted to share a comparison shot I got with Rolex today against my own BLRO. I think the bezel colors work well (it's the same green that's on the Sub, btw) and the crown/date move is welcome, though I think it'd be nice if they offered this configuration on all the colorways as an option.

I guess The Flanders is a good looking watch after all.

I like the colors. I probably won't ever be allocated a Rolex GMT, however if I was in the market, like yourself, I wish they would the bezel color would be one option, and left hand drive or not another. I just can't wrap my head around the GMT look with a left hand drive crown. I've been too accustomed to the normal GMT look.

I hope people start using that nickname 😂

I am lefty but I prefer the crowns on the right.

This Rolex looks odd to me, but Sinn and Tudor have some great looking lefties.

I think collectively as a forum, we're going to force the nickname upon this watch. It started here and I know it is going to bleed out. WatchCrunch out here making history.

Both are very nice.

@Max maybe more comparison vids comparing a similar watch and showing photos on various size wrists.

Am I the only one.... My first impression of the color is the Ball watch? 🤔 Personally I think this is the worst looking Rolex... Oh well it's a Rolex people will just eat them up like hotcakes from the oven.

As someone who wears their watch on the right (and i am right handed)... the only thing i don't like about the VTNR is the date window... if they had kept it at 3 o'clock... then BOOM!

I say the Flanders is a great nickname,

He not only opened the Leftorium but the colour is also perfect 👌!

Your Bleue Rouge looks really nice 👍!

I don't mind the crown on the left side. In fact, I quite like it as I love my Citizen NY0040. But, the date window on the left is really throwing me off. Anyone else?

·

Love the crown position, not sure about the date.

·

It's the date that's my issue with it

·

I'm sure it's just my mind playing tricks on me, but in the photo the Flanders looks larger than the Pepsi.

I also agree that it would be great if Rolex offered the GMT in the various colorways with both the left hand crown/date as well as the "correct" version. As others have pointed out, the problem with this new version isn't the crown as much as the date wheel position - when I first saw the photos, I thought that the watch had been photographed upside down.

I first saw this new version referred to as "the Flanders" in a post from @AccuTron and I think it's the perfect nickname. No matter what the community ends up calling it, it will always be the Flanders to me.

I think “Riddler” is more appropriate. Keeps it in the Batman family and is probably more well known. Credit to Paul Thorpe for the idea.

That date complication on the left side is making my eye twitch.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a LHD implemented that way and it just looks WRONG...and this is coming from a leftie.

It really does look like Rolex just flipped the dial upside down and called it a day.  :)

Maybe they are hoping to capture the double writing market..
