I'm also trying to figure out the background. Is that ocean floor? Volcanic rock? Something that I pulled out of the lint catch on the dryer? I'm very confused 🤔
There have been a series of teasers. The first was the double baton over water. The second was an orange GMT hand over a city. Then came the one you posted with 36 in a date window.
I'm guessing a 36 mm Sealander GMT in the style of the Dune GMT LE that was released last January.
The SW330-2 that CW uses will fit in a 36 mm watch. Farer has a couple.

Sadly, I have to agree. The original Sealanders in 39mm were already a great case size, and while I'm all for 36mm cases, this really is a bit more niche and probably less impactful than the 36mm 12 vs the original 40mm, for instance.
Happy to pay more, if they dropped a 39mm sealander GMT (traveler) I think 2k is a great price. Longines would have kittens as would Tudor
It would be very brave for CW to rise up the price to 2k to compete with longines and Tudor directly. Even so, they still need to get traveller GMT movements from Longines or Tudor which is very unlikely. Unless I missed some other traveller GMT movements out there?
It's the problem of CW. Allways some other brand wannabe...
Well, maybe, but is there any traditional watch-making brand less than 100 years old that isn't essentially "some other brand wannabe" in terms of styling, positioning, etc?
If originality was so important, we'd all be singing the praises of the Apple watch and I suppose MeisterSinger, at least on the semi-affordable end of watches, no?

Why? They already sell watches (with waiting lists) at £3500 so people are happy to pay the money. If they could land a sealander travelling gmt to undercut Longines then I’m in for it all day every day
My guess is that they're actually opening a store in NYC. Maybe on 36th st? The shot with the GMT hand had New York in the background and having a footprint in the USA would allow them to massively expand their reach considering how hard it is to buy their watches (and take advantage of their generous return policy) with all the customs hurdles you need to jump through.
Well I guess I was WAY off on that one. What an underwhelming reveal after all that build up.

I agree that’s why I am personally not really into the brand. Even though they are done at a good level of detailing. Their watches don’t entice me and I don’t like the name Christopher ward or their logo

The size maybe 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ha! That's not a bad guess lol
It's not impossible that they are teasing another 36mm watch, they already make a few.
No clue either :)
Nomos too btw:

Fancy dial materials seem to be in right now.
36mm volcanic dial something?
I can't wait to find out! Less than 24hrs to go!
Something with a big date

I would think that too except for the 36, which obviously isn't a date. But maybe that's what that means: big date in 36mm?

Oh, that's good sleuthing
Definitely something with a 36mm case size, which is stupidly small for my wrist.🙄
Explorer I size is my guess

Sorry Mr. Ferigno

Or it’s a jump hour with the mins like the zeitworks but that would be crazy, I might have to stop hating on CW at that point
Can’t see a Swiss traveler GMT movement at this price level, and I don’t think they will use Miyota as it would be a downgrade.

And just like that, @WatchandUnwindOffical can sleep easy again
Just a midget sized explorer II wannabe 😂
No clue either :)

Orion Neonatik in black - That's a nice looking watch

Certainly a nice watch! But not that much of a stunning revelation. Nice addition to the line-up though.

Pre-1980 called for you while you were out, wants to know why your watches are so large?
That’s absolutely true, as it’s true that the modern trend is 39mm and above for men sport watches like the C63
However I understand they want to appeal to the whole market (especially women) and that’s the reason they went that way.
I just like CW (although I don’t have one), I was hoping for something new that would fit me.

@casualwatchtalk just dropped an interview with CW's head of production explaining the release. It's a good conversation
Thanks for the shoutout. If anyone has any questions on this watch let me know!
