Watch bezel

Heres a thought, when is the last time you actually used the bezel on your watch ?

Used it twice now on "boil in the bag long grain rice".

I thought, thats handy 🤣🤣🤣

Side note, its not 10 mins for the rice as it says on the box,,go for the 15 😉

Yeah, its been a slow news day 🙄🙄🙄

On my dive watches, I’ve never used the bezel. GMTs I’ve used maybe two times.

·

I use a dive bezel a lot. Sometimes multiple times a day. I find it very useful.

·

I use it for cooking mostly.

·

Handy for parking meters & eggs. Anyone that says they use it for diving is talking out their arse 😉

·

Parking timing is the primary use for me 👌🏽

·

Timing for cooking and other different things through out the day. Especially since I don't like having phone on me while working. I find it quite useful.

·

I’ve used mine to time the walks that my wife and I do and I’ve used it at work for various tasks. But for diving? Nope… :)

·

All the time.

Naps, runs, dets, laps, eggs, pizza, hikes, time since check in, time walking a heading, how many minutes until I get off work....🤣

·

I fiddle with the bezel during commercials.

·

You could always Brando your dive watches and GMTs

·

I used my dive bezel for cooking times, parking, when to reapply sunscreen while swimming, bike riding and workouts

·

When I'm doing a hair color, mostly for a Grey blend at the shampoo bowl. Usually it's just for 5 min but It works out well because my hands are wet and I can still set a timer even if my hands are a little slippery.

·

I use the bezel just about every time that I wear a watch that has one - usually in the kitchen. Or if my wife says, “We need to leave in 20 minutes”, or similar situations. Plus they’re just fun to fidget with…

·

Fidget spinner or clicker to be more accurate

·

I use them for what I could more effectively use my phone or digital watches for. I need the justification. Still havent taken my divers swimming tho...

·

Edibles! There I said it. I use it almost daily as a reminder when my spacecraft initially launches. Enjoy your day😎

·

I have used the bezel to measure the speed of the motor boat I was in, by counting the time between two river milestones.

·

Mine is stuck.

Brando ??? Marlon ?

Brando ??? Marlon ?

Yep… famously removed the bezels off his watches

Strange, why ?

·

In nearly 20 years I've never used a timing bezel for anything practical.

For me the appeal of a chunky rotating bezel is that it protects the crystal from knocks, & aesthetics - nothing more.

Love the Willard 😍👍🏻👍🏻

I think I use it every 10 minutes…like a fidget spinner. For actual use? Maybe once a day to time cooking or lunch breaks.

·

I don't, but I'm pretty sure that if SmallCat™ had opposable thumbs he would play with it all the time if only to mess up my life.

·

I dont currently have a dive but I use my chronograph timer several times a day to time breaks at work and time spent walking the dogs.

Funny post. Love it

·

I like to time things, so I actually use it often. Obviously, I don't really need it, but it's a fun thing to do. :-)

P.S. I've got the same Willard - a thing of beauty!
