Hi WatchCrunch fam!! What is your most sentimental watch? Mine is this Lorier Neptune Series III on the Bond NATO from PhenomeNato. I got it as a birthday present from a childhood friend. She knows I'm a Bond nerd and a watch nerd. I loved the OMEGA Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Edition, but my friend does not have that kind of money. So, she did some research and got me this. It's not the most expensive watch, but it was the thought that counts to me. Plus, it was my introduction to Lorier and microbrands!

My most sentimental watch is my Sicura because it's as old as I am
That has got to be my birth year 62GS watch, the Grand Seiko 6246-9001
She sounds like a lovely friend! What a thoughtful gift.
Me? I have a couple that are sentimental in their own ways. Each have different memories and experiences attached to them. Hard to pick just one.
Mine is pretty easy. This Raymond Weil Freelancer. It was a gift from my wife. It's also the watch that started me collecting watches 14 months ago.
My Bulova Hack. Christmas gift from my wife.
My grandfathers Omega and my war watch
1980 armitron digital. It was my daily in my college days. It traveled Europe, went snow skiing in garmish, toured the Midwest when I played away rugby matches, went with me to the rugby final four collegiate tourney in Monterey, CA. It woke me for classes through law school. It survived a.motorcycle accident. I lost count on the girlfriends It outlasted.
Most in my collection have sentimental value.
From my Dad...
From my Mom...
From my Son...
From my Brother...
From my ex-parents-in-law...
Commemorative piece for the 30th year Anniversary of our High School Class...
I consider this to be my birth year timepiece...
To "replace" the Timex watch I bought right after college...
That would be my Hulk, given to me on my 30th wedding anniversary by my wife. Now before you get all excited about what a great wife I have, and she is, my return gift was a 1 carat natural yellow diamond (no color enhancement here) engagement set. Her's had a higher MSRP by we got it on sale. 😀
I stoped smoking after almost 35 years in January this year. I baught this Seiko the week after as a gift for myself and to remind me of this win over my addiction.
So for me this Alpinist is an accomplishment and a return to a more healthy way of life. A return to nature in some ways!

This vintage Molnija, the first watch given to me by my wife.
Dad's Omega Seamaster Chronograph that he got new in 1973 ($375, I think). I've had it since 2003 when he passed. It needs a good servicing.

What a great story!! Addiction is very hard to kill but man do you have quite an inspiration
Thank you! 🙏
Never heard of it!! It's really cool to have a watch that is as old as you!! The closest I got is my 1998 OMEGA Seamaster Professional (my birth year is 1997)
It is! And close enough wtg
Such an awesome gift!! Kid knows the value of hard work
Thank you! He truly does
Your Armitron went to some adventures!!

Woot! Woot! #snxs7xweek 🥳
I'm sensing a family tradition! A great one if you ask me
Thanks, bud!! 🍻
Dispite my other higher end watches. This is still my fave. My skx007j. First watch I ever bought with my first paycheck. It always reminds me where I came from.
My most sentimental watch got to be this lovely old Seiko which use to be my fathers daily driver years ago. He gave it to me recently so I send it for servicing and crystal swap. Also bracelet was not the original, only end links were so I had to order "new" from Netherlands to bring it back to the original state. Overall cost me more than brand new Seiko 5 but this absolutely doesn't matter! This watch puts smile on my face every time I'm wearing it.
MANNNNN you beat this up!! My Lorier Neptune is beat up as well!! It's scratched up. I showed it to my friend and her heart sank! However, she went at least you are using it for its intended purpose instead of it collecting dust or worse, being sold
Built well and takes daily wear like a champ!

Two years old and still ticking
DUDE!!! Pocket watches are cool!!!!
I wear it on the chain in my pocket once in a while. My watchmaker regulated very well. Though it needs to be taken in again ( I dropped it) 😬

Battle scarred armitron

Congrats on kicking the smoking tobacco habbit. I kicked that habit 16 years ago. I've had a lot more money for watches since (I was a 2 pack/day smoker but once packs went over $3 per).
My choice to celebrate being "clean" after 8 months was a Brietling Chronomat. Come to think of it, I need to wear it again. It has been a while. 😀

Thank you! Getting some watches in reward is certainly a very good way to celebrate this win over addiction! 🤝
