Watches to bed?

Not to tell the time, just to use insomnia and restlessness as a watch winder.

I wear watches to bed every night too. It's usually what ever I was wearing that day (unless it was a dress watch). That's amazing that you broke bezels. You must really move in your sleep!

When I first got into watches I didn’t like having a bare wrist, so I wore them all the time, even to sleep. Lately. I’ve been trying to remember to take them off because I sleep better without them. However, now that I’ve read that you broke a couple of watches, I will probably never sleep with them again. 😳😆

I don’t wear a watch to bed but if I did (and I should, 2.5 year old and another on the way)

It would definitely be my g shock 5610u. When it’s dark and you raise your arm the light comes on automatically - perfect. 🙂

I think I wore one when my son was young, trying to figure out his sleep cycles. Not since then though. If it's dark then I should be asleep, that's all I need to know. The dogs wake me up before any alarm clock so that's redundant too.

I don't, but I don't mind if I have one when doing a siesta 😄

It depends on the watch I am wearing during the day. If it's a watch with decent lume I keep a UV flashlight by my bed and do a quick lume charge before I go to sleep. Nothing beats a tritium watch though 🙂

Never take my watch off unless its to change it for another.

Anyone who takes there watch off to go to bed needs their hard drive checked 🙄

I used to wear them 24/7 during my military service :

I've had to share rooms with 20, 10, 8 people: we share the same arguments in the context of respecting what little privacy we had. [Imagine the mess when one guy had to wake up 2 hours before the others :)))) ]

I also put forward more pragmatic reasons:

Phone batteries don't last forever, a power source isn't guaranteed.

On a more "tactical" level, a good lume is discreet and effective. Having it on my wrist meant being ready and not looking for it in my sleeping bag lol

(I had no problems with the bezel).

I kept this habit for a long time, then I lost it. I must admit, though, that it wasn't always pleasant to have a watch on my wrist.

I always wear either my Tudor Black Bay Ceramic or my Titanium Porsche Design. I’ve chosen them because the ceramic is virtually scratch proof, and the Porsche Design is bead blasted so it also is highly scratch resistant, but I’ve never even thought about the possibility of breaking the bezel on the BB Ceramic. I can’t believe that happened to you during sleep. You must be a violent sleeper! I would hate to be your significant other!

I tried sleeping with one on my wrist but found I didn't sleep well with it on. To battle insomnia they day you should not look at a clock if you wake up at night. So I think I would wake up and look at my watch then I'd have a difficult time falling back to sleep.

I've been wearing mine to bed ever since getting into watches. Quite honestly, the only time there isn't a watch on my wrist is when I'm in the shower. Other than that, I wear mine 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
