Pouch Pocket Lids, dang things are like bottle caps from Fallout, in every drawer, cabinet, stuffed into every crevice of my truck, random tool boxes, etc.
wow beautiful is that a gold coin or a pressing that has a frame of sorts?
No — it’s .999 fine silver. It’s a Morgan Dollar that was just released by the US Mint. The original 1878-1904 & 1921 issues were .900 fine. The 2021 and 2023 versions are .999. Later this year I will have proof and reverse proof versions — this is just an uncirculated coin, though it did come encapsulated in plastic from the Mint. I just happened to take the photo in its display box. These, on the other hand ARE gold coins:
In addition to watches, I collect knives (179 currently) and 1:18 Diecast model cars (currently 30). It’s true what they say “the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys” 😄

wow, those are just about the most beautiful images I have ever seen on a coin, the Indian with headdress, and "Mercury" just beautiful as well as being a good investment I would think
I don't think "collect" applies as much as "hoard," but I'm intensely interested in clothing. Had a long tailored menswear phase, but am now a good deal more relaxed (funky "artist" stuff, workwear, and technical pieces). Obviously this extends to boot and shoes as well. This slots in well with the watches thing, since all these elements have degrees of cultural meaning that are subtly "read" by others. I like figuring out how to express things via texture, color, and detail. (And y'know, looking at least somewhat cool.)
I also have a bunch of fragrances, with an emphasis on dry/cold and experimental/abstract scents. Often things with a grassy or smokey vibe, but I've currently got one shipping to me that's evocative of like a dealership garage? Again, something I can play around with to project some aspect of myself.
oooh, I'm guilty of that too.
Been experimenting with a "minimalist" wardrobes, got down to 14 pieces (excluding underwear and shoes, including outerwear - jackets, coats, parkas) for all 4 seasons, but couldn't sustain it. Straight basics - black jeans, white ts felt dry and too uniform for my liking, so inevitably I went on a path to figure out something else about my style. Currently taking huge inspiration from workwear and heritage fashion. My wardrobe was heavily influenced by street extreme sports culture, which I was part of in my teens and 20s, but now I'm excited to finally depart from it.
And I was wearing the same fragrance every day since 2009, so I try to experiment with this too, currently on my Le Labo phase)

Yeah, I love to watch minimalist travel tips videos, and then proceed to use them to just pack more stuff. It's a cool concept, but I'm too fuzzy around the edges.

Not familiar with that house, I'll look into it!
well, if you learn how to organise a suitcase you can put a hell lotta stuff to it! Nothing wrong with that.)
This is about as close as I come to having another kind of collection. Thankfully these are straight up tools so there is no reason to start accumulating redundant extra bodies and lenses.
