Hello - first time posting

Hi - I’m from Scotland (currently on holiday on Isle of Skye) and I’ve been into watches for about a year although I’ve now realised I’ve always liked watches. I haven’t yet spent a lot on a single watch yet, mostly small amounts on a few. I think I’ve bought seven watches in the past year. Currently trying to work out what my next big spend watch will be and as I can’t get an AD to sell me a Rolex, it’s between an Omega (Speedy Pro or maybe Globemaster) or possibly the new Tudor Black Bay on the jubilee. I’ve not seen that in the flesh yet. I’m looking forward to finding out more about this rather expensive hobby. 😎

Welcome and rocking the PRX today too!

Welcome, and it doesn't have to be expensive. There are some great watches out there at all price points.

·

Welcome! 🍻

·

Welcome to WC, love the PRX. Just a heads up, I’ve heard that new Tudors are difficult to get as well.

·

Welcome! I find that I really enjoy the contemplation stage in watch buying where one gets to imagine all the delicious possibilities. Hope you settle on a watch that meets all your expectations and if not then just rinse and repeat!

Welcome to WC!

Cheers!

Have been two days away from buying the PRX80 in Blue just recently but decided not to after the WatchCrunch Video about it. Still a beauty and wears absolutely nice on the wrist.

The Speedy has it's own magic. Dont think too much about that impossible Rolex. A lot of the guys wearing one have no Idea about the Wonder they are wearing. If you dont have the chance to be one of Thema: There a lot of nice watches out there waiting for you :)

If you still want a Rolex and you have the money: Look for the SeaDweller black dial. It's only large on paper, waiting lists are short(er) and price is comparable to grey market subs ;)

Welcome to the addiction and the crew

Welcome aboard. My advice is to take it slow. Buy what you love, buy what you can afford, and buy what makes you happy.

·

Welcome to WC!

I'd throw my vote for the Speedy Pro but you can't go wrong with either of those choices!

Welcome to Watch Crunch and Enjoy! Great PRX ! I like the latest Tudor offerings. I'd keep hitting up your AD . What Rolex are you looking for?

·

A place where sunny days are rare, but great whisky compensates for that. Love a Talisker

·

Greetings Laddie.... (my best Scottish accent). Nice first shot and welcome.

·

Don't do it. Run and hide.

And don't ever say I didn't warn you 😬

·

Welcome. We're all mad here. In a good way.

Thanks. A bit boring but I have a thing for the Explorer 36mm. I bought a Smiths Commando with a tropical dial to try and scratch the itch but it didn’t quite work. I also have my name down for a year for an oyster perpetual but alas no call back. If I buy an Omega that will be my Rolex budget and tbh I like the brand just as much so no great harm.

The 36mm Explorer is a beautiful watch! I owned one for a full month until my daughter (not a watch nerd until now) kept hounding me to own it. I waited 2 years for that watch 😆 and gave it away. I may get a 39mm Explorer. I'm on the list and will wait another 2 years I guess. I call and text all the time. Bug the crap out of my AD . The watch will come in
