I own this exact watch. The stock photos do not do it justice. The reflection of light on the different texture areas (main dial, seconds sub dial, numerals and chapter ring) really pop out. If the hours where not numerals you may have a harder time looking at the time.
Address A. and C. The patina on the dial looks great and I personally can’t see the uneveness of the dial. I come from the guitar world and making an old guitar look new again is the biggest “no no” anyone can do. It is your choice but If the watch is operating better I’m sure you will not mind the patina of the watch.
Yes/no. Some movements are more accurate than others and there is only so much you can do in terms of regulation. I should of said try to shoot for +-5 seconds a day. I regulated my Lorier Astra and Zypher to be within this range. But at the end of the day watches are going to drift, especially after a months time.
When owning a few mechanical watches it is worth purchasing time grapher and a $40 demagnetizer. I recommend +- 5 secs a day. If you happen to gain a minute or two a day just run it on the demagnetizer.
Your suggestion is not a bad idea. Curious to see one or the other. Smaller case edge with the numerals unaltered & smaller numerals with unaltered case edge. I have the samon dial option and I love it! I don’t think you will regret getting one for yourself.
