Stubborn Case Back Screws

Any suggestions to opening stubborn case back screws? I have a watch that needs to be regulated and 2 of the 6 case back screws will not open.

Two general screw loosening tricks are to try tightening (just to get any possible motion) and to bump the driving bit into the the screw with a few hammer taps to fully seats the bit, jolt the screw a bit, and hopefully make the best of any screw head stripping.

You can also try putting things in a freezer for an hour or so. Use common sense with all this stuff and first do no harm.

As a last resort, depending on the size of screw and if it is recessed, touching a hot soldering iron tip to the head of the screw for a few seconds, then letting it cool can break the bond between the two parts.
