Baltic MR 01 Salmon

I’m interested in the Salmon MR 01 but my eyes are getting older so I wonder if there is enough contrast between the dial face and the hands and numbers. Anyone with the watch have input?

Maybe you could try the navy blue dial one if this one ends up not working out

36mm and eyes getting worse not a good combo. Get a pilots watch 🥲

It‘s not very legible, I sold mine because of the lacking contrast and the bad endlink-fit…In some lighting situations the numbers and hands just disappear. It‘s beautiful but sadly it doesn‘t live up to the hype imo.

Thanks, yes blue would probably be a better choice

Thanks. I’m sorry yours didn’t work out and appreciate the advice to help me avoid a mistake

Don‘t get me wrong, it‘s a nice watch, I just felt it a bit expensive for how the quality felt, especially regarding some other watches I have from Seestern and San Martin for a third of the price… Cheers!

I own the salmon dial and it’s very easy to read. Great pick up if you decide to add it

I own this exact watch. The stock photos do not do it justice. The reflection of light on the different texture areas (main dial, seconds sub dial, numerals and chapter ring) really pop out. If the hours where not numerals you may have a harder time looking at the time.

I have the blue dial and contrast is still not great. Because of the polished numerals and hands, they often look "black" without direct light. And "black" on navy is also pretty hard to see. Its doable, but not at a glance in a lot of lighting conditions.
