Accidental new watch alert
As I was visiting a watchmaker yesterday, I popped into Cartier to see if they had the black Must de Cartier Tank in the large size to try on. A fellow Cruncher (sorry I couldn't find your picture) posted it, and it looked amazing. Unfortunately, they only had the burgundy in large. It's a handsome watch, but I can't pull off that colour.
As they didn't have the large Solarbeat in stock either, I was set to leave, then I walked past the Santos cabinet...

Well I didn't go for any colours, or any of the models I was actually interested in.
Goes to show, you can research all you like, but nothing counts until you try them on.
I'll post it in the morning so I can squeeze in a new WRUW too!

What’s the deal with all this marriage related jokes? I mean, I never ever needed to have my wife’s agreement on any of my purchases, and I have another collections besides watches, like guitars, pedals, synths and whatever. Is it common in western countries to have an arguments based on such things? I’m genuinely curious without any negative connotations.)

I posted one from Cartier In Chit Lom BKK TheCentral Embassy centre 🙂 The all Black Santos . If I hadn’t already spent my wad in the Tudor in Siam 🙂 I would have probably sold my kidney to get one , bloody lovely classic watch !
So here it is. Santos Dumont Large on the blue, yes, it's pretty much black, croc strap. A watch that wasn't even on my radar, but the dial in the flesh is absolutely gorgeous.

For me it’s an excellent watch super comfortable and at times I forget I’m wearing it it’s so light…I used to baby it but lately I wear it more. I love it, enjoy it and wear it well my friend !! 🍻

Well I've only worn it since this morning but can tell it is ridiculously comfortable. It's also so light I keep thinking it's fallen off!
I can also tell the bezel is going to be an absolute scratch magnet, so I'll race you to the first serious ding!

Man I bought the Santos medium a few weeks back and I was seriously considering that same Dumont as well.
It’s just a bit too dressy for me so I left it… for now.

Good choice on going for the Santos first, it's a more versatile watch. The Dumont is a class act though, giving a very different wearing experience, so there's no overlap having both IMO.
I wish they did the blue dial Santos in medium as the large is just too big.

The large size fits, but I know it's too big for my wrist. They wear much larger than round watches
