NWA - Rolex DJ36
Got a message from my AD earlier this week offering me this DJ.
It looked much better in person than it did online.
it’s not the configuration I requested but I bought it anyway. I’m still waiting for the fluted/jubilee green dial so let’s see what happens if/when I’m offered that!
This wears very casual as opposed to the sharper look I was going for. That doesn’t mean I won’t make good use of it, just not what I originally planned to use my DJ for.

Congratulations on a beautiful watch! I owned a black dial DJ Fluted Bezel on a Jubilee bracelet for decades. I sold it like an idiot. My friend is loving it. I also have been looking at the configuration you now own. This is a clean low profile stunner IMO.

The green with fluted is a completely different offering. They'll look killer together!

Yep. The 41 is just too wide unnecessarily for me. 36 is classic.

Yeah exactly. I don’t know why they use renders and not actual pics of the watches.
And I agree, my config as opposed to this are completely different. Hence I pulled the trigger anyway.

Oh man, I was completely stupid. I wish I had it for my son. I owned it so long I wanted something new/different. At the time you could walk into an AD and purchase, or order, anything you wanted. Only Daytonas were rare. Even Subs were easy to get

That’s understandable but a harsh reminder the grass ain’t always greener. Especially with how the supply and demand is now.
I’m not sure this is a keeper for me but I’ll enjoy it through summer and then see how I feel.
