Get an Orient?

I was thinking about that watch a lot. I saw Teddy talk about it a lot, so i really want to get one. What so you think about the Bambino, Crunchers?

I would probably go for a different dial color and if you feel a bit special even the open heart one

The limited edition Bambinos got my attention recently

Personal opinion

Pros: Excellent design, good brand, bombproof movement, competitive price.

Cons: big and pretty flat for a dress watch. I wanted to love it, but returned mine as it felt like a pancake on my wrist.

Bought a smaller Orient Tri Star instead which worked better for me.

I don't understand the Cons bit, a dress watch is meant to be slim. I don't own one so can't compare, but the specs I'm reading are 12mm thick, which is actually large for a dress watch.

I think it depends on the occasion you wear it. Its not a Watch you recognize at First, so it might be a con in this Case but i think someone who is into Watches will recognize it immediately...

Here's what I'm wearing in my cargo pants and Carhart plaid shirt lol

The Bambino is a great looking dress watch! The other "watch guy" at my school owned one (I saw owned as he's at uni now), and it looks nice in person too!

Lotsa different kinds, some with Roman numerals, some with none at all. A big downside is the lug width: 21 mm can make it trickier to find a strap

I'd say it's good casual or dressy

Beautiful

Classy

Affordable

Reliable

Dressy enough (maybe not formal)

What's not to like?

·

It is an excellent, classy, and dressy watch but a major waste of money, as you will not be proud of it and will not wear it! 🍻 Save up for a watch you would be proud to wear! Just my 2 cents. 🤷🏽‍♂️

·

Orient is such a reliable brand; everything is good quality and fairly priced. The bambino is great, but don't just get it because a YouTuber talked about it; browse their range and see what speaks to you.

·

The 38mm beige dial orient is gorgeous and seems like such a versatile dress watch

·

For an inexpensive brand, they make worthwhile watches.

·

If it were sized like a Timex Marlin hand-winder, I'd be for it.

I have that exact watch. I’ve changed out the leather strap it came with. It’s a good watch for the price. I hardly ever wear it though. I never set out to collect and I still don’t, but when I got back into buying watches after about 15 years, I saw all the reviews about what needs to be in an enthusiast collection. Of course the Bambino was on the list along with a Casio 91W and other iconic watches, so I bit and I bought two. A blue dial one that I never wore and just recently gave to a friend.

So I’d say if it’s a watch you’d like to buy because everyone is telling you to buy it, pass, but if it’s a watch you really want, it’s a very good choice. Here’s mine on a taupe leather strap.

Pure class. I favor the 38mm iterations as well

·

For me good value if you are looking for something different. I am looking at another one and a divers.

Can't go wrong with a Bambino

·

I have this one and added this strap.

And I just bought this one at Jomashop’s winter sale yesterday (awaiting its arrival).

I also bought a new strap for this one as well since the straps that come with these watches are of a lower quality (to be expected at this price point) and are a bit stiff.

For the price, it is quite a nice watch. 👍

Is being proud to wear “an excellent, classy and dressy watch” dependent on spending more money…because saving up or spending up…equates to being more proud of a watch? Does owning affordable watches such as Vario and Furlan Mari equate to not being proud to own those watches? What watch will watchmenow89 be proud to wear?

I am going to assume that these are rhetorical questions. To each their own! 😜🍻

Not at all, I’m interested in the responses.

Loving mine. I have had mine for about a week now and I can say with certainty that I will be buying more from Orient!

You wouldn’t be disappointed.

It's a good watch. Size is just right and you have a choice of a few colour dials. It's simple, clean, elegant and understated. 🍻

·

I think i will get one, thanks Crunchers 👍
