A watch ORIENTed SEIKOpath… I love authenticity and craftsmanship in a watch. to me an exceptional watch is a watch that is manufactured exceptionally well under the microscope. I find it mind blowing...

Nicely proportionsed dive cases.
Um.. "Lovely" 🤣
search for skindivers. You'll probably get watches that look like this.

Ya I think Skin Diver also.
No crown guards, no crazy water resistance (but adequate), thin-ish case.
Great answers. I know there's an "Office GMT" and a "True GMT".
Perhaps these are "Office Divers", lol.
My vintage inspired compression diver from Lorier. I love it!
#lorier Hydra2
1960s skindiver style case. Here is a 1966 Seiko 62MAS as a reference
“Vintage inspired divers” works to have me waste 11 hours online…
Mid-Century?
I'd think Skindiver looks closer to these, where as the Lorier's, Omega's, even Tudors have just a 1950's look, with a crown that is unguarded, or stand off the case body.
But I'm no expert.
"Skindiver" would be the closest. They typically don't have crown guards and often have domed crystals. However, in my limited experience, I tend to consider the 62MAS as the quintessential skindiver case (not to say Seiko invented it, just an example that most people would know), with no crown guards, no chamfers, and straight, squared-off lugs.
If this article is accurate, it could be based on a 1960s skin diver design by Squale. https://calibre321.com/2022/01/11/the-skin-diver-watch-a-brief-history/
Skin diver is the answer it seems… just came here to show mine off.
I would say skin diver but back in the day just a diver as I think when designed it was designed to do two things de a diver and dress watch .

Yea that’s my thought too. I’ll try to search with it actually!

I do believe that it is. That would be my search now as it really is of the same look and feel.

Yeah I think so, and other gentlemen on the thread are with us on that. 👌🏽

Exactly! It is really both and I think that’s why I want it so much 😆
