Steel Bezels the new trend?

Because if it is, I am all in for it.

Yes, Explorer II vibes, I get it. The aesthetic has been around for a bit but fell out of favor. When I first started in this (poor financial decision of a) hobby.... I disliked this look. It reaked of 1995 polo sport and Quartz Tag Heuers (no offense to the Roxbury club crowd). It also reminded me of gaudy old men being 'hip'.

But maybe... I'm old now? I'm not sure. I watch my A1C and Cholesterol levels and took up jogging so maybe if the shoe fits...

Anywho, how rad are these new watches?

That Tudor Sub is amazing. 😎

I’ll take one for the team and take it off your hands 😉

That seiko 5 sports field gmt is something else. I like it more than the alpinist gmt. It look so good.

·

You want steel? Vostok can do steel even if it is only 304C stainless.

The bracelet is an old Seiko.

I'm mixed on this. I personally love steel bezels and wear one nearly daily, but I also like it being a niche thing that only a handful of us were into. Honestly I'm looking forward to when the trend has died down like 2 years from now so I have a great selection on the secondary market!

The Tag Aquaracer with steel bezel is also a fantastic looking piece. I'm all for more steel bezels.

·

Let's go!

I love the look of a steel bezel.

I nearly bought thr tudor but it's a little below my size limit. Beautiful Watch.

The 36 or the 40? IMO anyone can rock either lol

They're pricey nowadays unfortunately 😥

Great collection. Have to ask, do you have the Predator holding that Seiko monster to get the photo? 👀

One of the originals

It’s definitely a tall watch. On wrist some of the caseback gets pushed into the fleshy bits and makes it wear more like a 12.5 or 13mm thick.

As you mentioned, the titanium also helps the wearing experience too. I believe on this strap it comes to 80 or 86 grams, where my turtle mod on the same strap is 126 or so grams.

My old Tag took a beating with its steel bezel. That was exactly what it was designed for though.

I do find a steel bezel very appealing personally
