White-dialed Field watches; Off The Beaten Path Edition

This post has been begging me to write it for the last 24 hours. I know I've said my next watch is gonna be the Casio AE-1200 and then building a bronze Flieger, but this subject won't leave my head.

Im looking for options/recommendations for a white/cream-dialed titanium Field watch.

Kinda want quartz, but mechanical is fine for the right look.

Date complication or not is not a big deal at the moment.

Prefer a bracelet, but will entertain leather or other non-NATO straps.

Budget up to $500.

Also, more willing to go off the beaten path vs. the usual suspects.

I like the look of the Citizen Garrison, but no white dial, sadly.

The Bertucci is nice, but just looking for some other options.

Todd, what is your budget?

Dryden?

I know one is sold out but save some $ and go used?

Oops forgot to add that.

Up to $500.

If looking for a good value, hard to beat Boldr in the field watch category. Here are a few around $300. I would pair any of them with a Swiss Watch Co Velcro strap for $13 to complete the look.

Or maybe a Smiths?

The no-date & hour hand are pluses for sure

The Smiths is intriguing. Kinda gunshy though with the ordering & CS stories I've heard

Yeah, that is the thing. Plus I think the current lot is sold out until January, so used may be the only way at the moment. Another option is to pick up a used Zelos, they have an entire titanium field line, but it sold out a while back.

I have the cream dial Smith's and I Love it. The reminds me of a smooth butter cream, but it is also a 36mm so it's a bit on the small side. Maybe the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical in White.

36mm? I'm kinda used to 42-44, so 36 might be a bit on the small side, but I'll have to try out a 36 on the wrist before I rule it out.

Bulova Hack? $219 at Joma…automatic

Nodus Sector Field - $450

It’s not your traditional field watch though. I have an older green variant and have been thrilled with it. A date or no date version is available.

Not in love with the minute track & not titanium

Oh darn, sorry I missed that part. Good luck.

·

Edit: sorry, missed titanium.

This might be too modern but I do like the Zelos Swordfish field watch releases. White dial with the blue might look a bit cold though ❄.

Baltic Hermetique is a little over budget but it's really nice too.

Sub $500?

·

Well you got me fired up on finding new straps for my Timex Explorer. Apparently "The Band" was purchased by "Chums" So I ordered a few through amazon to see if they're still good quality. For now I'm sportin' it with a Vario elastic nylon strap

Sub $500?

You can find them preowned for around that price.

I'll go a little bit off maybe, but recently I fell in love with the boderry in bronze.

They also have this in titanium. I've been looking. Like you though I'm in love with the bronze.

·

Maybe you just blow your budget on one of these?

Wow, after combing the interwebs — there aren’t many titanium cream/white dial field watches that are at around the $500 mark. This one comes close. It’s similar to the Garrison, mentioned above. It’s the Promaster Tough super titanium eco-drive (quartz) for $575. It’s a bit over budget and it’s green (or black), but it comes in a bracelet.

Image

But then there is this one for $539, it’s not titanium.

There are enough and even others out there no one has mentioned... yet

I don't know if you're still looking for a white dial field watch. I certainly am and I came across the latest video fron Bens watch club in which he reviewed two watchs by the Swiss Watch Company. I thought they were rather nice and found that they were not only in titanium but that ther was a white dial version. It not as legible as I would hope for but it's still pretty cool so i though I'd share:

It's definitely better than the white dial citizen I brought up. Yeah, sorry by the way for that suggestion. I really should have left everyone in the belief that the was no white dial version of that watch. It really is a rather sad example of a field watch. 😂
