How many watches in a perfect collection - Your thoughts?

I'm not sure... looking for some advice.

I've been given more than 5 as gifts so that category doesn't work for me. Maybe a watchbox with 12 slots would be the smallest I could live with.

·

Depends on what you want out of the collection. I found nine was right for the variety I wanted in my primary collection.

·

There is no perfect collection. Do what you need to do.

I have 10 at the moment. I'm pretty much done with collecting for a long while (maybe one more lol) after all, my box only has 12 slots and the 2 remaining are filled with my dad's watch and a fitted bracelet. I bought a nice box to limit myself lol

I'm stealing from someone's comment to a similar question before.

x + 2 with x being the number of watches you currently own and plus 2 so you can have a list and so your next watch isn't your last watch. Also, I have 2 watch boxes (7 and 5 slots respectively) and only have 2 slots left (so I'm in the market for 2 more watches to "complete" my collection and then a 3d watch box).

There is no perfect number everyone has there own reasons they collect and the number of watches each person has is the perfect number for them

I have 20+, but some are basically toys & others were gifts.

For my own curated collection, I think 6 is a good number. One diver, one dress, one field, one Flieger, one GADA & a beater like a G-Shock.

I think it in part depends on how long you have been collecting. Say 20 in one year would be excessive but over 30 years not so much.

·

It’s around 10…I mean for the core collection of course. You need 3-5 sub-collections as well.

·

I can’t set the bar for anyone else’s collection but for me I always wanted to stick to around 30 watches so I can where something new every day of the Month. That being said in head for every day of the year 😅

·

3-24

·

the more, the better ? Why stop at 3 if there's more watch you'd like to own ?

·

Figured out I have 29 total, 15 in the core collection (meaning I actually wear them). I'm happy and it's different for everyone.

·

I think between 10 - 20

·

All the watches!

·

I wish I could say 3-5 but it’s not possible for me 😂😂

·

It all depends on the individual. My idea of the perfect watch collection will be different from the next man. Some want their collections to have divers #divewatch others want dressy pieces #jaegerlecoultre . Some may not care for any of these. All depends on the person

·

For me, less is more. Higher quality over quantity any day. Six or seven, one in one out, gradually upgraded. Suits me, we're all different !

·

If I own X number of watches, I always need X+1

·

Well I have a house, and there’s plenty of empty space to fill……..

·

Hilarious how the options jumped from 5 to 20+ haha I think 8 +1 is a nice moderate/sane number.

Lollllll. From what I can tell, most people on this app have wayyy too many watches. But then again... in theory you can't have too many watches. 😁

As romantic as the idea of 1 watch is, it's impractical for me. I think a perfect collection would be 3, a more ideal 5, and more realistically up to 10, but there is no limit
