Hooked on Longines....

Well, 24 hours into having my Longines Blue lady, I'm hooked. This watch as I wear it some how melted into my skin and became apart of me.

Having small wrists is a huge issue so when I'm shopping for watches key things I look for.

1. When links are removed will it still fit proper or have to much space?

2. Is the watch to heavy for my wrists or is the watch to danty and fly away? 3. How secure is the clasps?

The smoothest finish I've ever felt and its well made attention to detail. The second hand counterbalance has to be the most subtle but simple touches anyone could put in their watch. as I said it has become one with my wrist and flowed through my day with me like a champion. So now down the rabbit hole to truly dive into what longine has to offer.

That is a great looking watch! Longines has some great looking watches. One of my favorite watches in my vintage collection is this nice dress watch from the '60s.

That is in great condition for the age. I wonder when and how long longine used the hourglass logo for the second hand counterbalance. I don't see it on any of the new watches online.

I am not sure how long the hourglass was used or on how many watches it was used. It does add a nice touch.

Longines makes some of the best looking watches for women.

I plan to buy below certified pre-owned (ref L1.611.4.52.2) for my girlfriend. Date at 12 is bit unusual, but otherwise loving it: 35mm with automatic movement

Thats a perfect gift, she will love a well made watch. Their attention to detail and accents are hands down brilliant. I like the unique date feature. Those things stand out for me when looking at a watch. What sets it apart from other watches in its league. I'm now even more curious what years got the unique counter balance as nobody has posted one with that logo like mine.🧐

·

I'm particularly fond of the period when Longines' primacy in aviation and racing were integral to their identity and the maker was held in very high esteem even by the most casual consumer. That much of their desirable vintage pieces are available and "affordable" speaks more to the rise of other brands than to any decline in Longines prestige. Congrats on your lovely piece!

The deep blue hue goes nicely with your Amethyst ring. My Mum had a ruby ring of a very similar size, cut and setting.

The distance between lugs looks good on your wrist, so pretty sure it will sit okay with links removed.

Wear it well. I love what Longines is doing at the moment.

Huge fan myself. Mrs Steele is yet to catch the watch bug but if she does I expect I will be gifting her a Longines rather than any other...

Agreed, watches are all about small details and this hourglass counterbalance indeed seems to be absent from current offerings and googling doesn’t provide any meaningful results either. Maybe there are some hardcore Longines fans who can help 🙂 Your watch looks great 👍

Longines has been hitting it out of the park lately on so many levels.

·

I found a Longines on eBay at a pretty steep discount. It seemed to be an out of production model and I just love it. I’d buy another on down the road for sure.

Lovely amethyst ring.

·

Congratulations on a great watch! I love the amethyst ring as well! @DariusII is spot on. My wife has a similar ring my son and I made for her. Beautiful combo with the new Longines addition!

I'm not sure why the resale is so low but my pocket book will be thankful as I go hunting.😂

Just get her one, I feel this is the watch that makes an enthusiast. I can't stop petting the band. Even my boyfriends high end watches aren't polished this nice. As I said in a post it became apart of my wrist instead of feeling of being on my wrist. The flow is magic.

Beautiful watch. You can't go wrong with Longines. Such a wide selection with something for everyone. Respected luxury brand with tons of history and archives. Great value for the price. Enjoy!

Congratulations

This #longines watch fits your wrist perfectly. Great buy congratulations. I like Longines alot . Great brand.

In your position, I'd probably not use watches where the bezel takes so much real estate. Bracelets are an issue too - unless the watch is specifically aimed at women (as opposed to unisex). A brand to consider is Wempe, not just a retailer - they make watches too:

This is the Zeitmeister, in the Ladies edition with a 31mm dial. Blue isn't the only available colour, and they also make this on silver/gold bracelets, both quartz and automatic.

I have simple watches like that and I end up not wearing them as much. I like a steel metal band vs a leather as well. I'm trying to find the balance for size of watch I prefer. This one fits better then most watches in competing size to be fair. It has a thinner body as well.

Blue is always the best decision 😁. That bracelet tho..https://youtu.be/w--pzHZA0dQ

This watch all around was an amazing choice. Also yes the bracelet is so well made and polished to perfection.

If not "simple" allows for a bit of bling, there are more options, like this:

Image

That 34mm Lobinni (10.4mm thick, with a ST1612 movement)) is perhaps already pushing it as overly effeminate for many tastes, but TBH this is still relatively tame.

·

I, umm, enjoy them too 😁

Number 1 is my favorite, but the rest are still amazing styles pieces. I have to log off shopping for a week and enjoy this one.

Yeah I'm searching a few places I know local that gets brands they have no clue about and sell low. I will check ebay however and see if I can find a cool watch.
