Holy Trinity

Which of the 3 brands would you prefer if money wasn't an issue?

I'd like a white ceramic APRO as a fun watch for the summer. Too bad it costs $53.000. 😂

·

With near zero knowledge of celebrities, I feel VC flies under (over?) their radar.

So VC (I could be horribly mistaken 🤷).

·

I voted with my purchase of a VC Patrimony. Elegant white gold. Love the clean and understated dial.

I'll take the rose gold Overseas with the blue dial, please!

That blue is gorgeous!

·

Vacheron is the remaining a class act. The other two are too showoffy... Is that a word? It should be.

·

If I "had" to choose, only one option I'm aware of with a timing bezel.

So AP I guess...

Patek Philippe 5196P-001 Platinum Calatrava.

Tough to beat a Patek perpetual calander! Those watches are so stunning

·

Vacheron, more timeless designs.

·

Hard to say bc I don’t have the money so I have never spent time to do the research or try of of these on lol.

·

This one is easy for me since I own…

One vintage Patek…

One modern AP…

And multiple…both vintage and modern VCs…

And I have a 222 coming later this year…

So Vacheron wins for me

·

Cartwheels if I get any of them but there’s a larger number of Vacherons that I absolutely love

·

None of the Above, just not me.

·

I'll take a 3970 and 5167 please 😊

·

If money was no object I wouldn’t choose any of the so called Holy Trinity and instead I’d be looking at A Lange & Söhne and Glashutte Original

·

If your idea is that these three historical brands are best represented by 1970's designs which have been recycled ad nauseam, none.

I would rather buy a Sinn (856 UTC) or an Oris (Big crown WINGS OF HOPE)

·

I love watches and I have more than 30 so far in my collection at lots of price points. My most expensive are two Tudors and a Rolex.

To be honest I have never been attracted to the Holy Trinity brands. Apart from their cost their designs do nothing for me.

I have tried to like them more but for whatever reason just can't be interested in them!

I find watches in the Sinn/Tudor/Omega/ Rolex price band much more interesting and attractive to me personally.

Also CW and the myriad of quality microbrands that exist.

Not sure if that makes me a bit flawed as a collector but the Trinity stuff doesn't move me at all!?

Each to their own though. If you love them you love them!

·

1 PP

2 VC

AP ? no way.😂

But for me those would never make it in my favorite list, not in a particular order.... FPJourne, A Lange & Söhne, Garrick and many more.

·

Great watches, but for me A Lange & Söhne

I’m with ya mate. I respect “The Trinity” but have no real attachment to them. Granted, I’m sure my tax bracket has some part to do with that also 🤣

·

Actually non of the three. In that price range I’d go with a Lange if it has to be a mainstream brand. Lange finishing wipes the floor with the holy trinity.

I’d even consider the likes of some independent watch makers like Laurent Ferrier or Lang & Heyne.

·

AP if I didn’t have any of the 3 and was a casual collector.

Patek for me now.

VC for serious deep dive collectors
