Traveling with one watch?

I’m packing for an extended weekend trip to visit my family. I’ve packed my crewneck sweaters, a pair of jeans, and of course the one time piece. My beloved Tudor black bay 36 in blue. Do you perfer to travel with the one watch or multiple?

Depends on what I’m doing but I packed 3 watches for 7 days away.

·

I just did this for the first time, a week with my Lorier Neptune IV and it was great! It's a fun experiment to limit yourself and on top of that you really get to bond with the watch and link it to a specific experience.

I always travel with only 1 watch 🫡

Always a Seamaster.. The difficul part is to know which one!

·

Depends on the length of travel. Feel like I'm settling on two lately. Don't want to worry about my lovelies when I'm away from home 😂

·

2-3 watches

·

Last time I traveled a few weeks ago I packed a Seiko King Turtle as beater, and the Speadmaster as nicer watch. First time I travel with two watches, I quite enjoyed that

I couldn’t agree more!

One.

I brought about 5 the last time I went on a trip, but it was a month long 😂

·

Been three weeks on the road with the same watch! The GMT hand helps with my home time zone.

I typically travel with two watches. One daily sports and one dress watch.

·

Two.... and I am usually back with three.

If I am traveling for fun then usually three watches - one for the pool, one for dinner and one for drinks by the beach. I wear the third watch a lot 😀

·

One watch to rule them all.

·

I take beater, and something nice for dinner and the night out. The beater is so I don't miss out on the itinerary and willing to give up if I get mugged.

·

I take two. I like a two time zone, or a GMT, right now I use either my GS GMT 9f or my Balt-Pilot World timer with my Tresor tritium for those middle of the night time checks in a dark hotel room.

I wore one watch on a seven day trip.

A month later, I took two watches for a two day trip.

Go figure.

Black Bay 36 (black dial version here) goes everywhere. I’ll also usually strap a G-Shock to one of the loops my Dopp kit.

·

In my case it depend on the purpose of the trip. For business trips that may involve meetings and formal events I will pack watches that will match my attire and/or the occasions. Usually two watches will do the trick.

One watch is enough for me for holidays, vacations and pleasure. My attitude during these trips is that my leisure time is limited and I don't want to waste it thinking about changing watches, worrying about losing or getting one stolen, or devoting more carrying space in my luggage. Basically what I feel is that thinking too much about watches starts to sound too much like real work, which is the last thing I want to.

·

I usually travel to play music, so I tend to have a G-Shock on the wrist and one or two watches for the shows. It depends on the band I'm playing with, but it's most often my Timex Expedition North, Seagull 1963, Casio Duro or Pagani Moonwatch.

If I'm going for a weekend getaway, I almost always bring only a G-Shock. Either the GW-6900 or DW-5600.

·

It's usually the number of watches that for my watch roll fits + the one on my wrist: dress watch, dive watch, field watch, quartz watch, and digital watch - you never know, so it doesn't hurt to be prepared (Plus I gotta work on that 365 WRUW badge so it's good to rotate)

Juat one does it for me, DJ41 smooth on oyster, it does everything

I travel with 2-4 depending on the length and type of trip.

Ph yeah I was the same way! But I just loved the blue dial when I saw it in person.

.... and now I'm looking at the silver dial. Also very nice.

·

Part of the one watch crowd. But …. Several straps to go along with the bracelet as I spend a lot of time in the woods. (Almost always wear a NATO when in the woods ‘just in case’ a springbar breaks.)
