Do you LOVE or HATE the "tuna can" style watch???

I'm not much of a fan in general. A bit too bulky for daily wear for me, but I do like (and own) the Arnie.

I LOVE mine.. Save the Ocean special edition

Beautiful! Is that an aftermarket shroud?

Nice! The Arnie is cool!

·

Not sure yet, i think i have to see it in the metal.

I’m a huge fan of this style of watch. I don’t think its for me to wear, I don’t think it would suit me, but I’ve always loved it from afar.

It’s innovative, and unique, and in a world where there are so many watches trying to look like so many others, Seiko follows their own path.

I’ve seen some lovely tunas I’d love to own, but I know I’d never wear it….it doesn’t suit my usual dress style……

…..Maybe I should take up diving so I have an excuse…

Yes. It is. Found it on Etsy.

·

It looks too big for me, but Id love to try one on eventually.

·

I love the Tuna.

Never owned one, but will probably own one in the future.

I have also the Arnie and it will have to do the job until i buy a Tuna.

Hate is such a strong word… I appreciate the design of the Tuna but it’s not my particular cup o’ tea as they say. Perhaps I don’t have the wrist for it 😂 oh well. I think it looks great on you though and the LE is dope 🔥

·

I'm a fan of it although because of my t-rex arms, I can't pull it off.

·

I've been seriously internet eyeballing the Marine Master Quartz Tuna but it's expensive enough I need to see one in person.  I've also thought of getting one of the SKX Tuna Conversion Cases but after doing the math on parts for a build I likely could buy a Baby Tuna for just a bit more or get a San Martin Tuna for less. Anyway, I do think I would love a Tuna it totally fits with my tastes. Plus I hear they wear well considering the dimensions.

·

Nah, the tuna can has always turned me off. I think a more nuance case shape appeals to me more.

·

It's not that I hate it, but I would wear it only on particular occasions, similar to a G-Shock. There are plenty of other Seikos I'd rather buy.

·

Should never have let my old 017 get away!

·

Love it, but not for my wrist

·

Hate is a strong word. But I wouldn’t buy it. And if I were given one, I wouldn’t wear it. Ever.

·

You know, I really don't feel that strongly one way or the other about the tuna can design. I have one Tuna in my collection, an SNJ025 "Arnie," and it is definitely one of my favorite watches in my entire collection, but that is more about it being a reissue of the watch Arnold wore in multiple movies than it being a tuna can design. 😂 My Arnie wears very well on my 7 1/2" wrist and is one of my go to grab and go watches. I do love the sporty, rugged aesthetic of my Arnie and the shroud is definitely a big part of that. However, it is telling that this is the only Tuna in my collection, although I have looked at others in the past. It is obvious that I am not in love with the design despite my love for my SNJ025. 😉

Have you actually worn one? The lug to lug is actually shorter than the case width so it doesn't wear anywhere near as big as you think it might. It's never going to be dainty but I don't have huge wrists (7") and it doesn't look or feel huge.

I have to agree with this. I have an SNJ025 and it definitely wears smaller than it should at its size. 😀

·

Love it but I woudn't wear one unless I was diving.

·

What can I say?

I don't "hate" any watch but I do wonder if I could pull it off. I have a skinny wrist and as much as I totally dig the style of these watches, man, having small wrists presents quite the dilemma! But who knows, one day I might give it a shot. For the longest time, I didn't think my 6 3/4 wrist could handle a 44mm but the Casio Durio proved me wrong!

My wrist is 6.5 inches and I think I can pull mine off OK, so you might be surprised.

·

I have this watch too. Love the style, it’s one of my favourites.

My wrist is 6.5 and the Tuna wears perfectly on it. Don't worry!

·

I like Tuna's, but I prefer the Monster.  It has a similar vibe with the outboard case guard thingy happening.

Here is mine on my 6 3/4” wrist.

Okay that looks pretty nice!

I’m not a fan of the Tuna but some shrouded divers I’ve had were very nice.

·

Not for me. Extraordinarily skinny wrists + aversion to oversized watch trend + student budget= no Tuna for me

·

Very reminiscent of the Swiss Legend Neptune, which I returned.

·

Absolutely love it
