I would like, someday, to buy a Breitling Emergency - which happens to be quartz. But Breitling has other quartz watches I’d be happy to acquire also.
I know you wrote that it is currently sold out on the Casio site. If it were me, I’d rather save a hundred more and get it new when it is available again. Yes, I understand wanting to save money. But between a used watch versus a brand new one with warranty, $100 seems like money better spent.
The date complication is only as good as it is implemented. You specifically expressed dislike of 12 o’clock date windows. I love the way it was done on my Breitling Crosswind Special, especially as it is a ‘big date’ style. I’ll add a pic. Also, asymmetry dials have greater latitude for acceptability. I’ll add a pic of my Glashutte Original PanoMatic Lunar, which is also a ‘big date’, and very nicely done.
