Selten Series 00.05 Review
I was preparing to not like this watch. Let me explain. I preordered this last August, and delivery had been repeatedly delayed. The delays had soured me on the watch, which is unfair to the product itself.
The watch arrived today, and I have to admit that I am actually very happy with it!
This particular watch has been discontinued since the preorder has closed. So, I am happy that I selected the blue meteorite dial when I did.
The watch comes with a nice travel case, as well as a complimentary polish cloth.
The dial is really the star of this watch. The meteorite is very nice, and the sub dial is situated in such a way that the circle on the hour hand passes through, indicating AM/PM. Nice touch, and I haven’t seen that before.
The case side is smooth finished, while the bezel has vertical brushing. Together, the finishes are pleasing to the eye, and nice.
The case back is exhibition, which is my preference, and it displays the Selten unique rotor. Also, in another nice touch, the strap from Selten is the quick change bar style, which is also my preference. I do wish that more brands supplied their watches with quick change bar style straps.
Overall, the watch is a quality piece and I would buy it again. The only down side is Selten needing to be better with keeping delivery date expectations to the customer.

I own a Selten 00 series watch and I LOVE it! Incredible value for money. I went with the Aventurine dial though. This thing starts a conversation every single time I wear it!
Ha. I was actually checking up on you to see if you got your watch since is now Feb. Then I see saw this post. I'm very glad that you are happy with the watch I don't wanna say is worth the wait but the watch is a very unique that you forget about the pains LOL. No lie I'm thinking about getting rid some of my divers to try Selten's divers maybe if I order now I can get it deliver in Dec. 2024😂.

I think I’d stick to in stock only. They do make nice watches. But they need to get better about promised delivery times. But the watch is very nice, and I would buy from them again (though only in stock!).
